Students for Life of America (SFLA) counters the mainstream media’s abortion narrative hourly, so it’s not surprising that TikTok finally banned us from their app because we exposed the truth about late-term abortion – with 180 individual censorship instances in 24 hours. You read that right.
TikTok is well known for being full of left-leaning messaging targeting my generation, Gen Z. As SFLA’s spokesperson and social media engagement coordinator, I work every day to combat pro-abortion misinformation one 60 second TikTok video at a time.

Of course, this isn’t the first time TikTok has jumped at the opportunity to silence us. In the past, SFLA President Kristan Hawkins and I have both had our accounts unfairly banned, and only by rallying the Pro-Life Generation were we able to get TikTok to restore our platforms. Our content has been censored over 200 times, which is only what we’ve been able to count.
However, we’ve continued to share our pro-life messages on the app and reached millions of people across TikTok, with many individuals in our comments saying we helped change their minds on the most critical human rights issue of our day: abortion.

Most recently, our videos focus on exposing late-term abortion since the mainstream media is helping Harris and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz deny the existence of late-term abortion and infanticide. The videos of Kristan Hawkins and me, Lydia Taylor Davis, calling abortion facilities to prove they offer third-trimester abortions are not rare.
These videos have garnered millions of views, going viral across many social media platforms, countering the prevalent lies of the abortion industry and their biggest fans, Harris and Walz.
Finally, after having over 30 instances of censorship on just our SFLA TikTok account on various degrees, our video of me calling a late-term abortion facility was the last TikTok we were able to post before I was notified that our account had been permanently banned for “multiple violations of community guidelines,” with no further explanation. Our content was banned simply because TikTok doesn’t want people to see the truth about abortion.
Thanks to the swift action of the Pro-Life Generation, our account was restored, but unfortunately, our late-term abortion videos are still censored. While this is a victory in the battle for pro-life free speech on social media platforms, the war is far from over.
TikTok LOVES abortion and wants it to be center stage this election season. On TikTok’s search feature, searching anything with the word “abortion” results in a pop-up directing users to what they label “trusted sources.” Following this link directs users to a menu of options. Selecting more information about “reproductive health” opens a site that reads, “The Biden-Harris Administration remains committed to protecting reproductive rights, ensuring women can make their own decisions about their own bodies, and preserving the FDA’s authority to make science-based determinations about what medications are safe and effective.”
TikTok, which is consumed by a mostly young generation, is clearly full of pro-abortion lies designed to convince young people that abortion is safe and about “women’s rights.”
Their constant censorship of our content infringes on our freedom of speech and prevents young people from hearing the truth, especially about late-term abortion.
Of course, that won’t stop us. We encourage every pro-lifer or anyone who cares about free speech to sign our petition, demanding that TikTok and other digital platforms permit all free speech – especially before the Nov. 5 election. Americans, at the very least, deserve to know the truth about abortion before casting their vote.
The clock is ticking.
