“Judge Barrett, soon to be sworn in as Justice Barrett, inspires the Pro-Life Generation with her story of rising to the top of her profession while embracing home and family,” said SFLA/SFLAction’s Kristan Hawkins. “The abortion mentality that forces a civil war into women’s lives between their careers and relationships must be confronted with the stories of women who embraced both, and Judge Amy continues to do just that. Women don’t need abortion to succeed.”

WASHINGTON D.C. (10-26-2020) – From outside the Supreme Court with the SCOTUS Squad and pro-life activists from across the country, Students for Life of America and SFLAction President Kristan Hawkins celebrated the U.S. Senate vote to confirm Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court. “From Alaska to Florida, Students for Life and SFLAction has been knocking on doors and making calls reminding Americans to vote Pro-Life first, especially as we consider the implications of just who gets to pick the judges for the generations to come. Our tour was expanded to embrace the nomination of Judge Barrett because she represents the future of a Court that puts the law over private agendas,” said Hawkins. “Today is the culmination of years of work, decades of work, seeking to nominate Justices to the Supreme Court who will protect life in law. Judge Barrett is a brilliant jurist who will bring a fresh perspective to the law for years to come.”

In support of ACB’s confirmation, Students for Life created a SCOTUS Squad to provide a presence through hearings and proceedings outside the Supreme Court and wherever needed. MEDIA NOTE: For critics who argue that Judge Barrett’s background includes pro-life associations, an abortion viewpoint is not unusual for Supreme Court nominees.
