Grace Rall, one of the National Leaders Collective’s (NLC) leaders of the month, is a Students for Life of America’s (SFLA) Thaddeus Stevens Fellow attending Kalida High School in Ohio. Learn more about Rall’s activism below.

I initially became involved in the pro-life movement when my high school formed our own SFLA group. My interest in the movement grew, and I eventually became a Thaddeus Stevens Fellow. I grew up with a pro-life background, but thanks to all my experiences with SFLA, I have my reasons to be an advocate for this cause. Every human life holds inherent value, and we should strive to protect the women and children who the abortion industry targets.

The Thaddeus Stevens Fellowship has helped me grow significantly as a leader within the movement. I first applied for the fellowship to further improve the efforts of my high school club. However, I now realize the fellowship has given me more than I hoped. I’ve learned essential leadership skills and doors to incredible opportunities opened to help women and children. These skills and experiences built my confidence, and I cherish them deeply. I’ve also met the most extraordinary people, creating lifelong relationships I could not imagine my life without. This movement has genuinely changed my life in countless positive ways.

My first pro-life accomplishment of 2024 was cohosting Putnam County’s “Walk For Life” and sharing my testimony in front of over 100 attendees. As a young leader, it was a very special experience to share my experiences and encourage others to get involved in the movement.

My second accomplishment was hosting a “Baby Brunch” at our local Pregnancy Help Center (PHC). It was a baby shower-style event with games, food, prizes, and more for four expecting mothers. It was an honor to make each of them feel loved and valued, especially since I connected with the “Supportive Services” Pillar of our training, making it much more fulfilling.

My third accomplishment was hosting a “Hot Breakfast” with our group. About 200 people from our community came to support it, and we raised $2,300 to contribute to our group’s and our PHC’s efforts.

My experiences with the pro-life movement have shaped me into the person I am today, and I am forever grateful for that.
