Stevie Nick’s Abortion Anthem “Lighthouse” Hits the Charts, But Who is the “Lighthouse” for the Preborn?

Fleetwood Mac’s Stevie Nicks’ debuted her abortion anthem “Lighthouse,” which is a massive disappointment to pro-life Nicks fans across the country. However, it’s not entirely unexpected from Nicks, who in recent years has publicly opened up about her four abortions, even crediting it to Fleetwood Mac’s success.

Though Nicks seems “empowered” and unregretful over her decision, statistics prove that many women regret their abortion. And while Nicks’ most recent abortion song and years of pro-abortion rhetoric may be an attempt to overcompensate for her guilt, the problem remains that she is misleading women and wrong by a “Landslide.”

The themes of the song consist of a couple of ideas: abortion is power, and all women need to rally together to protect it, lest they be silenced. And Nicks, as the song’s title suggests, is the lighthouse for these women to gather, protest, and fight.

“I wanna teach ’em to fight,” she sings. “I wanna tell ’em this has happened before, don’t let it happen again.”

However, what’s unsurprisingly missing from this fight song is the silencing and powerlessness of the children in the womb. Does Nicks care if they have a lighthouse?

Based on Nicks’s Instagram commentary on the post-Roe v. Wade song, one would think not.

“I wrote this song a few months after Roe v. Wade was overturned,” wrote Nicks. “It seemed like overnight, people were saying ‘what can we, as a collective force, do about this…’ For me, it was to write a song.”

Taking the lyrics at face value, one could see that the words apply more to preborn children than to women. Take a look:

“Don’t let them take your power,

Don’t leave it alone in the final hours

They’ll take your soul, they’ll take your power

Unless you stand up and take it back

Try to see the future and get mad

It’s slipping through your fingers, you don’t have what you had

You don’t have much time to get it back.”

Abortion supporters and politicians are taking power from the preborn.

In a preborn child’s final hours, it will have died a horrible death of starvation by Chemical Abortion Pills or dismemberment through surgical abortion. The abortionist will have stolen their soul.

Unless the pro-life movement stands up and gives innocent, preborn humans back their dignity and power. We want a future where abortion is unthinkable, and we’ll fight every day to make it happen. After all, we can’t get this time back.

That’s what Nicks’ lyrics should’ve said. Though Nicks believes her career was better off for the abortions she has, pro-life Fleetwood Mac fans would instead her have chosen life instead of her greatest hits. In the meantime, the Pro-Life Generation will be the lighthouse for the preborn and continue to speak for the voiceless.

We hope Nicks will do the same.
