The National Pro-Life Summit inspires students to engage with their communities to bring an end to abortion, and our 2022 Summit was no different—if anything, it was even better than usual. Students came from across the nation to stand united against the harm and lies of the abortion industry and learn how to prepare for a Post-Roe America.
The Summit is an excellent opportunity for young activists to get inspired and return to their own communities to press forward in creating a Post-Roe America. With more than 1,600 in attendance at the conference and many national pro-life speakers present, this year’s Summit was a huge affair—which was very heartening for many in the pro-life movement who can feel isolated by their beliefs. The Summit is a beautiful reminder to students that the pro-life movement is extensive and nation-wide.
Chloe Kramer, a Students for Life Action’s State Captain, said it best when she stated, “When you are surrounded by young, passionate activists, you no longer feel alone in your mission to abolish abortion.”
Twenty of our student leaders from across the country joined Students for Life of America (SFLA) and Students for Life Action (SFLAction) at the National Pro-Life Summit as part of their leadership programs. Some student leaders even helped out—like the Students Spokespersons and the SCOTUS Squad members. At the National Pro-Life March (which occurred the day before the Summit), these students represented SFLA while engaging with media, and at the National Pro-Life Summit, they helped inform others about the leadership opportunities available through SFLA and SFLAction, display the core values of SFLA’s Professional Leaders, and further engage with the media.
These students are excellent examples of how being a part of a SFLA leadership program not only prepares you for the real world but also gives you great opportunities in the field. One SCOTUS Squad member, Noah Slayter, said, “I can attest that I am a more experienced and learned person because of Students for Life’s leadership programs. The opportunities I’ve had, the people I’ve met are directly connected to my leadership program.”
