Cincinnati Pro-Life Advocates Protest President Biden Town Hall at Catholic University

Kristi Hamrick - 21 Jul 2021

“Claiming to be Catholic while championing the slaughter of nearly a million children a year — and funding it — is like a parent claiming to be vegan while forcing his children to eat bacon,” said Kristan Hawkins, President of Students for Life and Students for Life Action. “Joe Biden cannot call himself Catholic as long as he presides over the deaths of the youngest Americans he has sworn to defend, and the ‘Catholic’ institution of Mount St. Joseph University should be ashamed of its role in propping up Biden’s deranged, pro-abortion worldview by welcoming the President to campus for a town hall.”

CINCINNATI, O.H., and WASHINGTON D.C. (07-21-2021) – Tonight, pro-life advocates in Cincinnati will join Students for Life Action outside of Mount St. Joseph University to protest pro-abortion President Joe Biden’s extreme abortion agenda during his town hall. Mount St. Joseph purports to be a Catholic institution, but local advocates will voice their objection to conflating the pro-abortion worldview with the faithful practice of the Catholic faith.

The town hall occurs on the heels of Democrats gutting the federal Hyde amendment, a budget provision estimated to have saved more than two million lives in its 4+ decades of bipartisan support. At the behest of the abortion industry, however, Democrats and President Biden himself have wholly abandoned the bipartisan amendment and committed to handing over taxpayer funding for abortion despite the fact that such a move is wildly unpopular with the American public.
