Leaving a Legacy
For the Pro-Life Generation

With a planned gift you can ensure our mission to abolish abortion is accomplished by continuing our work to train, equip, and serve young people and building a pro-life generation who will save lives, transform hearts, and change minds about abortion while enjoying financial benefits for your family.
Ways to Give
Preparing a will or trust can ensure that you have made provisions for your loved ones, minimize or eliminate taxes, and create lasting legacies to your church and chosen charities.
Currently, our team is able to help you and your family set up an annuity for planned giving. In addition, we can help you make a plan for giving in your will. Adding Students for Life of America to your will is as easy as including one of these phrases in your legal documents:
“I grant, devise, or bequeath to Students for Life of America, 1000 Winchester Street, Suite 301, Fredericksburg, VA 22401, for its general purposes, all [or state percentage] of the rest, residue, or remainder of my estate, whether real or personal.”
OR
“I give to Students for Life of America, 1000 Winchester Street, Suite 301, Fredericksburg, VA 22401, the sum of $____ [specify amount] to be used for the general purposes of Students for Life of America.”
Under the right circumstances, a charitable trust may enhance your income, minimize taxes, unlock appreciated investments, rid you of investment worries, and ultimately provide Students for Life of America with a significant charitable gift.
A charitable gift annuity is a simple contract between a donor and a charity that provides a source of income for life for the donor as well as an immediate tax deduction for the charitable portion of the gift.
Working in partnership with the National Christian Foundation, you may support Students for Life of America and make a charitable gift now, qualify for immediate tax benefits, and ensure an income stream for life.
By transferring ownership of your stocks or mutual funds to Students for Life of America, you make a gift that supports our life-saving mission and avoids the capital gains tax you would pay if the stock were sold.
Donating to Students for Life of America some or all of your benefits from your IRA, 401(k), 403(b), pension or other tax-deferred plan is an incredible way to bless our ministry and partner with us to save lives. If you die with retirement plan assets in your estate, those assets are subject to income taxes which may dramatically reduce the amount that would otherwise pass to your beneficiaries. Instead, consider a beneficiary designation naming Students for Life of America to receive these assets. Because we are a nonprofit organization, Students for Life of America is not taxed upon receiving retirement plan assets, allowing us to use their full value to further our important work.
By using appreciated real estate to make a charitable contribution, you may avoid paying capital gains tax at sale and also receive a charitable income tax deduction.
Giving non-controlling interests in your partnership, LLC, or corporation
is an excellent way to give to a charity and lessen your tax burden — without
giving up control over the ongoing business operations.
Many items of personal property including automobiles, boats, airplanes, artwork, furniture, equipment, and jewelry can make valuable charitable gifts.
By naming Students for Life as beneficiary of your life insurance policy, you may create a charitable legacy without impacting cash and other assets designated for your heirs.
Should you choose to include Students for Life as part of your legacy, please know that we consider the trust you’ve placed in us sacred. We will honor your confidence in us by being the best stewards of your resources and using the legacy you’ve created to help this pro-life generation abolish abortion and create a Culture of Life in our nation.
