Testimonials

from Leaders Serving the Pro-Life Movement
At Students for Life of America and Students for Life Action, we equip leaders to serve the pro-life movement in professional careers. Since 2006, 174 leaders have transitioned from a fellowship in the National Leaders Collective into a pro-life career.

“What I have learned about leadership and the pro-life movement has helped me grow tremendously as a leader. From what I have learned and the connections I have made from other leaders, applying for this Fellowship is one of the best choices I ever made.”
Penelope Rose, 2023–2023 William Wilberforce Fellow
Serving the Pro-Life Movement as SFLA's Northeast Regional Coordinator

“This year, my leadership was taken to the next level through the student spokesperson Fellowship by teaching me how to use my voice to influence others for life and learn how to succeed in a pro-life career.”
Chloe Kramer, 2023–2024 Student Spokesperson
Serving the Pro-Life Movement as the Community Engagement Manager at Women's Care Center

“I never thought of myself as much of a leader prior to this year, but my fellowship taught me that there is not one 'type' of leader! Each one of us can play a part in creating a culture of Life.”
Kathryn Pluta, 2021–2022 Christian Leadership Fellowship
Serving the Pro-Life Movement as a Copywriter at the Thomas Moore Society

“My involvement in the NLC allowed me to learn from experienced pro-life leaders who have worked/currently work in the pro-life movement and get advice on how to grow professionally and personally in my activism. This fellowship led to me getting an internship and ultimately a full-time job with Students for Life.”
Morgan Reece, 2023–2023 William Wilberforce Fellow
Serving the Pro-Life Movement as SFLA's Michigan Regional Coordinator

“Going into the Christian Leadership Fellowship, I had no idea what I was doing or where I fit in. When I arrived at Campbell University as a freshman this year, I expected my pro-life work would be accepted because it was a ‘Christian college.’ However, I instead spent the year facing death threats, hatred, protests, and other crazy backlash. My fellowship was the one place I could stay motivated and feel supported. By the end of the year, I changed 50 pro-choice minds, passed a pro-life resolution, and have been elected president of my college SFLA. My fellowship is truly the reason I kept going. I’m so grateful for my community with them and the impact they had on me.”
Lydia Taylor, 2021–2022 Christian Leadership Fellowship
Serving the Pro-Life Movement as an SFLA Spokesperson

“This program has truly given me the confidence to speak boldly for life to the media, write boldly for life to the news outlets, and live boldly for life in my community.”
Anna Thompson, 2022–2023 Student Spokesperson
Serving the Pro-Life Movement as the Recruiting Director at Forge Leadership Network

“This program gave me confidence in working in this movement, and helped to start networking with people across the country.”
Olivia Ulrich, 2022–2023 Standing With You Fellow
Serving the Pro-Life Movement as a Counselor at Women’s Care Center

“When I joined the National Leaders Collective after my freshman year at the University of Notre Dame, I was especially struck by the passion of those working full time to fight against abortion and for the lives of the unborn. The NLC was an incredible opportunity to travel to D.C. and collaborate with other pro-life students on the best way to serve our campuses and convert hearts and minds. The connections that I made helped me to make the jump to move to D.C. after graduation and work in the pro-life movement full time.”
Merlot Fogarty, 2022–2023 SFLAction State Captain Fellow
Serving the Pro-Life Movement as a Blackstone Fellow at Alliance Defending Freedom

“Being a part of the National Leaders Collective equipped me with the essential confidence and community to put my passion for life into practice. Now, working full-time in the movement, I experience daily the direct outcome of my training and the connections I developed, boldly fighting for the protection of women and children alongside fellow graduates of the program.”
Gavin Oxley, 2021–2022 Invictus Men’s Fellow
Serving the Pro-Life Movement as the Project Specialist at Americans United for Life

National Leaders Collective equipped me to start a pro-life job after graduation by offering me networking opportunities, professional skill development, and resume building. Before joining NLC as a William Wilberforce Fellow, I wasn’t sure how or if I wanted to turn my passion for the pro-life movement into a career. Through one-on-one career trainings, I realized that all sorts of skills can be utilized by pro-life nonprofits. Opportunities presented themselves through NLC helped me develop my career path while also helping the movement: proving I didn't have to put my professional development on hold to pursue something I am passionate about!”
Danise Rees, 2024–2025 William Wilberforce Fellow
