Students for Life is delighted to announce the addition of a new member to our team: JoJo Ruba, who will be engaging in his first debate while on staff against Texas abolitionist Jacob Miller.

A Christian apologist and youth pastor from Calgary, Alberta, JoJo has spent over 20 years speaking up for biblical truth with organizations like Redeeming Conversations and Faith Beyond Belief. As part of that work, he even joined Students for Life President Kristan Hawkins on an episode of her podcast to discuss how to think through abolitionist lies from a biblical perspective.

But that conversation wasn’t the end. Instead, JoJo has now joined Students for Life to continue his work by speaking up for the most fundamental biblical truth of all: the sanctity of life.

He has no intention of “taking it slow.” Instead, he’ll be kicking off his time with us on Monday, June 15 with a fiery debate with Texas abolitionist Jacob Miller on abolitionism vs. incrementalism.

Throughout the Bible, God makes it clear that he desires the protection of children. But today, abolitionists and incrementalists disagree on the best way to accomplish that – whether it means taking a step-by-step approach to achieving pro-life policy and cultural changes (as incrementalists believe) or an all-or-nothing approach (as abolitionists believe).

In their debate, JoJo and Miller will discuss how best to protect the lives of the preborn in accordance with God’s instruction in the Bible.

TUNE IN HERE AT 8:00 P.M. EASTERN ON MONDAY, JUNE 15 TO CATCH THE FULL DEBATE.
