“Ironically, the only way to show Americans the kind of ugly suppression of free speech that comes from an increasingly unhinged far-left only comes from taking a risk by trying to talk with them,” said Students for Life’s Kristan Hawkins. “Lydia’s engagement with Antifa shows you what we are up against.”

SAN ANTONIO, TX. (06-06-2026) – Students for Life of America (SFLA) Spokesperson Lydia Taylor Davis was mobbed by Antifa while filming social media during the 2026 Turning Point Women’s Leadership Summit outside the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter in San Antonio, Texas. Davis was part of a team on the ground as SFLA President Kristan Hawkins was a featured speaker. Protestors threw water, celebrated Charlie Kirk’s death, screamed and threatened, all during raucous exchanges with a crowd that can be seen physically crowding and threatening Davis.
At one point, Davis confronted a crowd, proclaiming, “The whole world will watch how you are acting towards women and will see that you are not on the side of women.”
From the event, Davis reported that while she was walking to TPUSA’s Women’s Leadership Summit from a hotel, she encountered groups of ANTIFA protestors screaming hatred at Erika Kirk and pro-lifers.
She explained: “I tried to have a conversation with some of them but quickly found myself surrounded as they called me a pig, told me I should’ve been swallowed, and screamed and chanted at me, labeling me both a fascist and a Nazi. The male protestors were especially aggressive. One shoved a blaring siren directly in my face while another intentionally coughed on me repeatedly.
“Most disturbing of all was how many protestors openly celebrated the assassination of Charlie Kirk. One protestor dressed up as Charlie in a full mask and mocked his death. When I confronted him, he openly defended assassinating ‘fascists’ after also calling me a fascist. Unsurprisingly, when I asked him to define fascism, he couldn’t do it.
“Their behavior exposed exactly what the modern Left has become: hateful, violent, and incapable of tolerating disagreement.
“It’s no surprise that the side celebrating violence in the womb also excuses and celebrates violence against pro-lifers. These people don’t want debate. They don’t want dialogue. They want intimidation, chaos, and silence for anyone who challenges them. But if screaming, harassment, and celebrating political violence is the best defense they have for their worldview, then their movement is far weaker than they pretend it is.”
