A Constitutional Crisis Emerges from the Biggest Parenting “L”: A Louisiana Grandma Reportedly Buys Chemical Abortion Pills From New York to Forcibly End Her Grandchild’s Life.

A Constitutional crisis is in the making in a heart-breaking story out of Louisiana, as a grandmother allegedly caused her grandchild’s death. Perhaps one of the biggest parenting “L”s in recent memory has captured the internet as reports of a Louisiana mother who forced her underaged daughter to kill her preborn child with Chemical Abortion Pills went viral. This traumatic family affair reportedly resulted in severe complications, a 911 call, and then a visit to the Emergency Room (ER).

We’re told the young pregnant mother wanted to keep her baby and was planning a celebration to welcome her into the world. The Louisianna Attorney General stated that this pregnant underage daughter had big plans for her baby, “The daughter wanted the pregnancy and had a reveal party planned.”

The legal issues in this case are legion, including the fact that a gender reveal usually can’t take place until after 12 weeks (three months) of pregnancy, and Chemical Abortion Pills are not supposed to be used past 10 weeks, according to the FDA. The investigation will certainly need to include what – if any questions – were asked before the abortion vendor sold the pills to a woman who was not even pregnant.

In this case, the so-called New York “doctor,” Margaret Carpenter, allegedly broke Louisiana law by mailing Chemical Abortion Pills to a pro-life state and allegedly aided this mother in killing her own grandchild. According to the Associated Press (AP), a warrant is out for Carpenter’s arrest, as well as her company, Nightingale Medical, PC, and the minor’s mother.

Not only is Louisiana a pro-life state, but they’ve led the way in making Chemical Abortion Pills a controlled substance, giving law enforcement more tools to track the deadly pills. This case appears to be “the first instance of criminal charges against a doctor accused of sending abortion pills to another state, at least since the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in 2022 and opened the door for states to have strict anti-abortion laws,” according to AP.

In June 2024, these deadly drugs were declared a controlled substance in Louisiana with the passage of the Catherine and Josephine Herring Act, SB276, signed into law by Gov. Jeff Landry – a monumental victory for the preborn, mothers, and the Pro-Life Generation (PLG).

But take out the word ABORTION, and the problems with this case go even further, as leaders in the state of New York pledge to allow the laws of other states to be broken from New York.

For a long time, Students for Life of America (SFLA) and Students for Life Action (SFLAction) have warned of the reckless disregard for life and coercion of women and minors as Chemical Abortion Pills have become more accessible. Thanks to the previous administration’s No Test, Online Distribution of Chemical Abortion Pills, allowing just about anybody to order this pill cocktail without age, ID, or pregnancy verification, women are less safe. Mainstream media outlets have been proudly and unashamedly touting underground pill-pushing. And some governors like New York’s Kathy Hochul have created laws protecting abortion advocates.

“Reproductive freedom will always be protected in the State of New York — and I’ll never back down from this fight,” Hochul declared in a recent press release. “I’m taking action to strengthen protections for health care professionals and their patients, ensuring New York is a safe haven for anyone providing or receiving reproductive care. At a time when fundamental rights are under attack across the country, we are doubling down on our commitment to safeguard access to reproductive health care and defend those on the frontlines of this battle.”

The terms “reproductive freedom” and “reproductive care” used to be merely euphemisms for abortion. Still, now, Hochul has expanded it to “freedom to illegally traffic” Chemical Abortion Pills because she doesn’t like the pro-life laws of other states. And the term “safe haven”? It’s essentially an invitation to New York pill pushers to keep sending these deadly drugs with the protection of Hochul and her faux compassion.

In a fiery reaction to Hochel’s remarks on abortion, the Louisianna Attorney General corrected her on the law and the true victim in this story, stating:

“It is illegal to send abortion pills into this state and it’s illegal to coerce another into having an abortion.

“The allegations in this case have nothing to do with reproductive health care, this is about coercion. This is about forcing somebody to have an abortion who didn’t want one.”

A CONSTITUTIONAL CRISIS:

In the U.S. Constitution, the Full Faith and Credit Clause demands states respect other states’ laws. It reads:

Article IV, Section 1:

Full Faith and Credit shall be given in each State to the public Acts, Records, and judicial Proceedings of every other State. And the Congress may by general Laws prescribe the Manner in which such Acts, Records and Proceedings shall be proved, and the Effect thereof.

It’s cataclysmic for a state to announce plans to violate the laws of another state.

This issue has come to the forefront recently as state Attorneys General have opposed sterilizing “gender” care when one state tries to “shield” people from another when they act on children.

In March, 16 AGs signed a letter opposing efforts in Maine that would “contravene the lawful policy choices of our states’ citizens” by “imposing on the rest of the country Maine’s views on hotly debated issues such as gender transition surgeries for children.”

The abortion lobby calls the name of efforts to block prosecution “shield laws,” as in they are “shielding” those willing to end life or sterilize kids from legal consequences. According to UCLA’s Williams Institute, through legislation or executive order, 23 states and Washington, D.C., are trying to cover up abortion crimes while 17 states and Washington, D.C., want to protect those actions that can sterilize minors.

Following the logic, IF states start deciding which of their neighbor’s laws they will honor, chaos will ensure – and THAT is ok with the abortion lobby.

Writing for the Heritage Foundation, Thomas Jipping notes: “Abortion shield laws not only conflict with existing state laws like these, but their advocates concede that undermining interstate comity is, in fact, their purpose. Professors David Cohen, Greer Donley, and Rachel Rebouche write that “there is no denying that each of these [abortion shield] proposals would threaten basic concepts of comity between states, possibly resulting in the breakdown of state-to-state relations and ultimately retaliation.”

These measures “would also intensify interstate conflict in a way that could have unintended consequences for other areas of law as well as for the general fabric of the country’s federalist form of government.”

The abortion lobby doesn’t seem to care who dies or what the cost is to the nation, as long as the baby doesn’t make it.

If only Hochul’s actions were isolated to just her and her state but sadly it’s not the case. If New York gets sued for breaking the pro-life laws of other states, Hochul isn’t using her money for the charges: it’s New York taxpayers who foot the bill.

No surprises here since abortion zealots seemingly like to advocate for it using other people’s hard-earned cash, clearly seen by the nearly $700 million Planned Parenthood receives from taxpaying Americans.

But, thanks to Louisiana laws and those willing to stand up for Life, pill pushers like Carpenter may finally be held accountable, as Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is also suing her. In time, people like Carpenter may think twice about breaking pro-life laws to harm women and their preborn children.
