Find Out Whether or Not Your Christian School Made the Naughty or Nice List this Year

As Santa Claus makes his list and checks it twice, we’re letting him about the 649 Christian colleges and universities that were good this year at protecting preborn life.

These schools made the “Nice List” by not promoting Planned Parenthood or the abortion industry, earning an “A” or “A+” in the Students for Life of America’s (SFLA) Christian Schools Project. Sadly, 83 Christian schools earned their spots on the naughty list and a big bag of coal.

SFLA’s research arm, Demetree Institute for Pro-Life Advancement, investigated all 732 colleges and universities affiliated with Christian churches in the United States throughout 2024. According to the August 2024 findings, 83 — or one in 11 Christian schools maintained some type of relationship with Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry. Planned Parenthood alone ended the lives of 392,715 preborn children through abortion violence in 2023, so any Christian school maintaining a relationship with them is a tremendous “no-no” and antithetical to Christian values.

Annual grading begins with a thorough investigation of each school’s website to monitor for Planned Parenthood referrals or general abortion industry support, including internships or volunteer opportunities with pro-abortion organizations, health resources, events, and class resources.  Schools are then marked with “infractions” for each connection found and graded accordingly (one infraction results in a B grade, two infractions a C, and so forth).

Thanks to this research and contacting the administration, several schools dropped their connection and returned to the “Nice List” before it was too late! This Christmas season, we’re incredibly thankful for Saint Elizabeth University, which not only published a statement in response to the project but increased it from an “F” to an “A”!

Following this victory, the remaining 82 schools with infractions received a figurative lump of coal and a thumbs down from SFLA for abandoning Christian values and supporting Planned Parenthood’s corrupt abortion business.

Top 5 Most Surprising Schools on This Year’s Naughty List

  1. Sacred Heart University, a Catholic school in Connecticut, lists Planned Parenthood as a reproductive and sexual health resource as well as an internship.

  2. St. John Fisher University, a Catholic school in New York, had repeated infractions over the years, including a sponsored event that linked to resources calling abortion “a safe and effective way to end a pregnancy” – yikes! When initially responding to our outreach, a faculty member praised Planned Parenthood as “an accurate, medically sound” organization.  Thankfully, several connections have since been removed, and only one remains to bump them off the “Naughty List.”

  3. St. Louis University, a Catholic School in Missouri, received its first infraction for promoting an event where a pro-abortion professor spoke against pro-life laws and the Dobbs decision. St. Louis has kept the event on their website but could easily join the “Nice List” if they removed the event recap to stop any further promotion of an abortion agenda.

  4. Notre Dame University, a Catholic University in Indiana, also made its first appearance on the “Naughty List” due to a pro-abortion event calling abortion “care.” Our outreach to administration requests that they shouldn’t host these events on campus in the first place and that any previous mentions be removed so that this misalignment of Biblical values is no longer supported.

  5. Otterbein University, a Methodist school in Ohio, plummeted from an A to an F this year for multiple infractions referring students to Planned Parenthood. They even provided a map of Planned Parenthood locations on their website. When contacted, the administration stated, “Otterbein cannot meet [our] request to remove Planned Parenthood,” without explanation.

This Christmas carol isn’t all naughty. So far, 20 schools have cut ties with Planned Parenthood. Villanova University, a Catholic school in Pennsylvania, removed Planned Parenthood as a graduate health resource and is now an A school. Rocky Mountain College, a Methodist school in Montana, removed Planned Parenthood as an internship opportunity and is now an A school as well.
