This summer, Students for Life of America (SFLA)’s six-figure campaign, ALMOST ABORTED, was a direct response to abortion extremists’ misleading claims – claims that they’ve spent $200 million spreading nationwide. Does any of this sound familiar?

If rape is involved, abortion.
If there’s a genetic abnormality, abortion.
If you’re not ready for a baby, abortion.
If there’s even a chance of genetic issues, abortion.
SFLA punched back at this narrative and told the stories of…
The women who chose life, even in the horrible circumstances of rape.
The people conceived from rape, who have done extraordinary things with their lives.
Those with genetic abnormalities, like Down syndrome or Trisomy 18, whose parents chose life and are thriving.
Or those who survived abortion attempts and lived to not only talk about it but convince others that their life has meaning and that every child deserves a chance at life.
READ: ALMOST ABORTED Launches in New York Times Square
We blasted these impactful and vital stories across the country, including digital and billboard advertising in battleground states: Florida, Nebraska, South Dakota, Missouri, and Arizona. The launch took place in New York’s Times Square, with a digital billboard lighting up America’s most famous plaza, which gets 250,000 to 300,000 pedestrians daily, sometimes even up to 400,000.
The Results
The Almost Aborted National Video Campaign was the largest to date, reaching a digital audience of 8.1 million and gaining over 5.1 million views since its launch in early June, not to mention the correlated billboard campaign reached 18.5 million Americans, including targeted states with pro-abortion ballot initiatives.
This campaign featured heartfelt, mind-changing stories about survivors of abortion, those pressured to abort, and those who could’ve been aborted based on the circumstances of their conception, including the following stories: Faith, Rebecca, Josiah, Angela, Lily, Hope, Mia, Micaella, Tina, Karen, Rose, Melissa, Kristan, Abigail, and Vanessa.
ALMOST ABORTED Stories with the Highest Reach
The highlight testimonies of this campaign were:
Terri and Hope’s story which reached over 1.2 million views on Instagram alone. Terri and Hope are a mom and daughter who became a family through adoption. Hope was born about two months early; like most premature babies, she was tiny. But what was especially unusual upon Hope’s arrival was the considerable injury to her head. From Hope’s forehead back to her right ear, both her scalp and skull had been cut away, leaving jagged open edges and parts of her brain exposed. Hope’s injuries were caused by abortion instruments from an attempted abortion when she was just over ten weeks (about two and a half months) old in her mother’s womb.
Josiah’s story gained over half a million views throughout the campaign. He was Almost Aborted by an abortionist in South Korea who tried to take his life in the first trimester but failed, and he survived, though with a deformed arm. He once thought of his arm as a symbol that he was disposable. Now, he sees it as a reminder of a miracle.
Mia Armstrong, a young girl with Down syndrome, whose story touched the hearts of thousands of Americans when she publicly spoke in Times Square about the reality of her diagnosis in the womb. Her mother was pressured to undergo invasive testing that would confirm a Down syndrome diagnosis and likely cause a miscarriage. The doctor pushed for the test earlier than recommended, suggesting they could “kill two birds with one stone.” Mia is now thirteen and an absolute joy undefined by her genetic makeup.
ALMOST ABORTED yielded millions of views over the summer and spreads the word that regardless of what abortion supporters say, every life has value, and these Almost Aborted stories from real people across America prove just that.
