With more than 40 attacks on pro-life centers, pregnancy resource facilities, Supreme Court Justices’ lives, homes, and churches, it’s time our leaders take radical pro-abortion terrorism as serious as the January 6 protests. When will the once peaceful pregnancy resource offices firebombed and drenched in red paint receive a moment on primetime television?
According to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s actions, we should do more investigating on the events of January 6, 2021, rather than the attempted murder of a sitting Supreme Court Justice. When questioned if Speaker Pelosi and her radical party’s rhetoric on abortion has fueled the summer of rage by pro-abortion groups, Pelosi passed the buck and declared how Catholic she is. Huh?
Normally, it’s President Biden’s weak stance on abortion as a Catholic that leaves the faithful confused. At one point in his political career, Biden stood for life as a practicing Catholic, but now all we can really ask is what is he talking about? Recently, Biden managed to say in the same sentence that we’re children of God while doubling down on the right to kill the preborn.
What Biden and Pelosi seem to blissfully forget is that Catholicism has always affirmed the sanctity of preborn life. Speaker Pelosi smugly told reporters, “Well, let me just say this: a woman has a right to choose. To live up to her responsibility is up to her, her doctor, her family, her husband, her significant other, and her God. This talk of politicizing all of this, I think, is something uniquely American and not right. Other countries, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, have had legislative initiatives to expand a woman’s right to choose. Very Catholic countries. I’m a very Catholic person, and I believe in every woman’s right to make her own decisions.”
The National Catholic Register reported, “At the same press conference, Pelosi declined to say whether she agreed with Pope St. John Paul ll and Pope Francis that “abortion is murder. “What I agree on is that whatever I believe, agree with the popes on, is not necessarily what public policy should be in the United States as people make their own judgments, honor their own responsibilities, and tend to the needs of their families,” Pelosi stated.
Not only have Pelosi and Biden’s radical abortion views often left them alienated by the Catholic church they vehemently claim, but it sideswipes the issue that Democrats have called for the violence that is being ensued upon pro-life groups now that Roe’s time is up.
In 2020, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said, “I want to tell you, Gorsuch, I want to tell you, Kavanaugh, you have released the whirlwind and you will pay the price.” The logic of the Democrat party often shows that words matter unless they’re yours. Pelosi and others in leadership never address whether their own words are causing an environment for violence—like they claim happened on January 6.
Senator Marco Rubio tweeted, “If 23 Planned Parenthood centers were attacked & someone tried to kill a liberal Justice that is all the media and Democrats would be talking about. But since it was 23 Pro-Life organizations & a conservative Justice the media & most Democrat politicians don’t care.”
One of the problems is clearly the team that surrounds Biden. As the Washington Examiner reports, “Biden’s choice to head the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division, Kristen Clarke, has been outright hostile to pro-life organizations. Clarke has called pregnancy resource centers, which provide counseling to pregnant women about alternatives to abortion, ‘harmful’ and ‘predatory.’ No wonder Biden’s DOJ has not taken any action.”
It’s time Pelosi stopped wasting taxpayer time and money on the political circus of the January 6 hearings and addresses the real violence at hand—violence that her party has ignited and must condemn before more damage is done to pro-life organizations and Justices.
