Students for Life Action will Score the vote on Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson

MEDIA ADVISORY: On the first day of Senate Judiciary Hearings, Students for Life Action team members and the Pro-Life Generation will be outside the Supreme Court from 9 a.m. ET to 11 a.m. ET on Monday March 21 in protest of Biden’s choice for Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson.

“Not even President Biden, when he was in the Senate, supported the radical abortion agenda that his Supreme Court pick has pushed through her advocacy for Partial Birth Abortion,” said Students for Life Action President Kristan Hawkins. “On the issue of abortion, Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson helped defend what isn’t in the Constitution — barbaric late-term Partial Birth Abortion — and she ignored what is –free speech rights for Pro-Life Americans.”

WASHINGTON D.C. (03-18-2022) – Students for Life Action President Kristan Hawkins called on U.S. Senators to vote NO on the confirmation of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court in a letter announcing that SFLAction will score the vote.

In her opposition letter sent to the Senate regarding Judge Jackson’s nomination, Hawkins noted: “Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson’s presence at the Supreme Court would present a unique and profound threat to the work of the Pro-Life Generation. She has a proven track record of opposing even late term limits to abortion, seen in her work on behalf of Partial Birth Abortion, when a state passed what was then a rare protective measure … Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson prepares to come to the Supreme Court in a judge’s robe, hiding an eraser that she plans to use like a legislator to re-write what she doesn’t like and adding where it suits her.”

MEDIA NOTE: Students for Life Action’s SCOTUS squad have been a fixture in recent Supreme Court confirmations and will be available for interview/B-Roll during this process. SFLAction is also engaged in voter outreach, advertising, and extensive engagement through our social media channels.

As SFLAction has previously noted: “Limiting abortion policy choices to the few desired by those in power is not popular with Millennials and Gen Z, now about one-third of the electorate. Recent polling by Students for Life of America’s Demetree Institute for Pro-Life Advancement indicates that ‘an astonishing 8 in 10 want to vote on abortion policy in their states – UP from 66% last year.’ In addition, ‘(w)hen considering how devalued people have been treated historically by those in power, 65% of Millennials and Gen Z did not support allowing people in power to decide who is fully human and deserving of legal rights.’”
