What is Called?

Called is an initiative of Students for Life of America (SFLA), created to encourage, equip, and mobilize young Catholics to build a Culture of Life. This is a vital responsibility, now more than ever.

Powered by SFLA, Called aids and supports diocesan schools nationwide in this mission by providing educational trainings, service events, access to resources, personalized mentorship, and more. Our boots-on-the-ground Field Team has over 20 years of experience working with Catholic schools, serving more than 600 active, enthusiastic pro-life groups within them.

Why Get Involved?

Catholics are Called to lead the fight for Life—but the reality is sobering. Despite the Church’s clear teaching on the sanctity of Life, data shows:

Catholics have abortions at nearly the same rate as non-Catholics
70% of post-abortive women identify as Christian—27% as Catholic

Now more than ever, we must respond. This is not just a cultural battle; it's a Gospel call to protect the most vulnerable among us. Called exists to help you put your faith into action—right in your school and community.

Start a Group or Partner with Us

SFLA is dedicated to helping pro-life students, teachers, and leaders either start new pro-life groups or take their existing group to the next level! New groups receive FREE activism kits and existing groups can partner with us to access all our free resources!

Mini-Summits

Host a diocesan-wide student conference sponsored by Called. These events are designed to help students discover their unique purpose, deepen their understanding of human dignity, and build lasting relationships with peers who share their values.

Free Assemblies, Religion Class Guest Speakers, and Trainings
