Exposing Abortion Industry Influence on Religious CampusesEach year, Students for Life of America’s Demetree Institute for Pro-Life Advancement reviews 725 Christian-affiliated colleges and universities to reveal where Big Abortion has gained ground and which schools are boldly rejecting it.
2025 FINDINGS AT A GLANCE
- 114 Christian schools maintain ties to the abortion industry.
- Abortion-supporting activity increased 19.82% since 2022 and 38.63% since 2024.
- 533 total infractions were documented: the highest recorded in four years of this project’s consecutive research.
- 26.45% of all infractions listed abortion resources as “health resources.”
- 82 new internship infractions were uncovered, with schools promoting abortion industry work.
- 12 of 22 denominations had at least one school with an infraction.
- Since 2021, 100 Planned Parenthood connections have been removed, including 36 this year.
Some Christian schools are caving to Big Abortion, while others refuse to compromise. This project draws lines so students, parents, and supporters of Christian education can initiate change and gain back ground.

- Abortion-supporting activity on Christian campuses has risen nearly 40% in one year.
- Over a quarter of all infractions promote Planned Parenthood as a “trusted” resource.
- Class resources and internship pipelines tied to abortion groups increased sharply.
- More than half of denominational categories include schools with violations.
- 8 schools cut ties with the abortion industry after SFLA’s outreach in 2025.
- 66 schools earned an A+ rating for promoting life-affirming Pregnancy Centers.
Catholic Colleges and Universities
As part of our 2025 Christian Schools Project, Students for Life of America discovered that more than 1 in 7 Christian colleges and universities maintain ties to the abortion industry. And Catholic institutions were no exception.
The battle against the Culture of Death is a spiritual battle as well as a cultural one, and the Catholic Church needs her shepherds to act. Catholic bishops have a unique responsibility to guard the faith and protect the vulnerable. We’re asking them to:
- Review Catholic schools in their diocese with abortion ties
- Instruct those schools to remove abortion-related referrals and events
- Ensure life-affirming support is available to pregnant and parenting students
