While we are working fervently towards a day when abortion is abolished in our nation, we know that this fight will not be easily won. Our victory will take patience and perseverance. To help us achieve our long-term vision of creating a Culture of Life in our nation, Students for Life needs supporters who are thinking ahead.
Currently, our team is able to help you and your family set up an annuity for planned giving. In addition, we can help you make a plan for giving in your will. Adding Students for Life of America to your will is as easy as including one of these phrases in your legal documents:
“I grant, devise, or bequeath to Students for Life of America, 1000 Winchester St., Suite 301 Fredericksburg, VA 22401, for its general purposes, all [or state percentage] of the rest, residue, or remainder of my estate, whether real or personal.”
“I give to Students for Life of America, 1000 Winchester St., Suite 301 Fredericksburg, VA 22401, the sum of $____ [specify amount] to be used for the general purposes of Students for Life of America.”
Retirement Account Assets
If you die with retirement plan assets in your estate, those assets are subject to income taxes which may dramatically reduce the amount that would otherwise pass to your beneficiaries.
Instead, consider a beneficiary designation naming Students for Life of America to receive these assets. Because we are a nonprofit organization, Students for Life of America is not taxed upon receiving retirement plan assets, allowing us to use their full value to further our important work.
