Shaun Kenney

Vice President for Development
[email protected]

Shaun Kenney serves as Vice President for Development for Students for Life of America and Students for Life Action and is a former executive director for the Republican Party of Virginia, a former executive director of American Life League, and former Senior Advisor to Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares. Shaun has raised over $200 million for various organizations, non-profits, and political candidates over a 20-year span in direct mail and major gift fundraising. Shaun previously served as a board member for SFLA/SFLAC.

As a practicing Catholic, Shaun found his pro-life calling as a young man reading Pope John Paul II’s philosophical work — particularly Love and Responsibility — as well as finding an outlet for his activism by attending Rock For Life concerts as a young man in the 1990s.

On top of presenting at conferences and keynoting events, Shaun has appeared on and been quoted in various news outlets, podcasts, and radio programs, including CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX News, Washington Post, and New York Times, and is a longtime opinion writer with columns in the Richmond Times-Dispatch, Fredericksburg Advance, Virginian Pilot, Roanoke Times, The Federalist, RedState, the Free Lance-Star, and other mainline and conservative publications.

An Oxford comma enthusiast, Shaun Kenney is a fourth degree Knight of Columbus, a former instructor at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic High School in Fredericksburg, Virginia, a graduate of the University of Virginia, and is presently pursuing graduate studies in philosophy at the Catholic University of America. An amateur farmer and history buff, Kenney and his family reside on a small 10-acre farm near Charlottesville, Virginia with 7 children, 24 chickens, 3 goats, one pig, several barn cats, approximately 4,000+ books, and is (mostly) tolerated by his wife, Melissa.
