Lucy Gonzalez grew up in Highland, Illinois and graduated from Saint Louis University (SLU) after studying Theological Studies.
Her passion for participating in pro-life efforts began in high school, where she led the pro-life club. From there, she went on to spend a lot of time helping advance the pro-life cause as she served as Vice President and Social Media Coordinator for Students for Life at SLU. Through SLU SFL, she found her love for engaging in meaningful activism, prayer vigils, and counseling women outside of Planned Parenthood.
This engagement did not come without challenges, as the SFL group at SLU has been victim to acts of vandalism against pro-life displays—such as their annual Cemetery of the Innocents cross display. This adversity helped affirm Lucy’s calling to a pro-life career all the more.
Lucy treasures the wisdom and guidance that Students for Life of America instilled in her when she was in school—and now, she is excited to pass that along to the next generation of pro-life students through her work as Programs Coordinator.
Lucy currently resides in Trenton, Illinois and serves the Pro-Life Generation as Students for Life’s Programs Coordinator. This work includes meeting the needs of students and field staff who are working to abolish abortion by helping create and innovate SFLA’s print materials, trainings, and displays. It also includes executing events like National Pro-Life Chalk Day, National Pro-Life Gen Sidewalk Day, the National Virtual High School Summit, and more!
