Gillian Evans grew up pro-life, but it wasn’t until she faced her own unexpected pregnancy in college at the age of 20 that she saw the true beauty and breadth of the pro-life movement in action — how the offer of free resources, guidance, and mentorship can be truly life-changing. Leading the Standing with You program is especially meaningful to her as someone who lived through many of the challenges Students for Life groups on campuses are helping moms and families navigate. After she and her husband, Zach, were served by the local pregnancy resource center, she continued to volunteer and advocate for the pro-life movement in her different communities, eventually going on to work in several pro-life organizations.
Gillian graduated in 2017 from Missouri Western State University with her degree in Communications. Following graduation with a one-year-old in tow, she advanced Christian, pro-life efforts through teaching, advertising, and social media roles. Then in 2023 she served as the Missouri Her PLAN Coordinator, a project of Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, working to fill the gaps of care for women and their families across the state. This position enabled her to talk with state officials about needed care for women and families, to visit with, organize, and help local organizations providing life-changing support, and talk with churches and congregations about how they can join the pro-life movement. After relocating to Florida and having Baby #3, Gillian joined Sidewalk Advocates for Life as the Social Media and Events Coordinator. She has spent the last two years telling amazing stories of moms served and babies saved, and traveling the country connecting with local sidewalk teams and networking with other pro-life organizations and leaders. These connections made then opened the door for her new role at Students for Life of America as the Standing with You Coordinator.
Gillian and Zach have been married for 11 years and they have three children with one on the way! She loves reading, thrifting, and antiquing. When she’s not volunteering at her local pregnancy center, her Embrace Grace group, or at church, you’ll catch her bumming it at the beach or the pool with the family! Gillian and Zach have started the process to become foster parents as well, but a recent move to Tennessee has postponed this for now.
