EVERY national Democratic Party leader and most of their state officials embrace the radical abortion position of abortion through all nine months, for any reason at all, and taxpayer funded. In fact, in blocking the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, they even support infanticide for infants who survive a botched abortion. If you don’tbelieve us, challenge the Biden Administration and every politician: ‘Where do YOU draw the line on abortion?’” said SFLA’s Kristan Hawkins. “Abortion is on the ballot, as radical abortion activists control the agenda of President Biden and his entire team.”

WASHINGTON D.C. (10-03-2023) – As part of Expose Late Term Abortion DayStudents for Life Action (SFLAction) will join the Abortion Survivors Network panel discussion in Washington D.C. on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, part of a lobbying effort in the nation’s capital.

Credentialed Media can attend the event at the Russell Senate Office Building, Room 188, from 11:30 a.m. ET -12:45 p.m. ET, to learn more about the reality of late-term abortion, with lobbying Senate offices to follow on the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act (S.204). Senator Roger Marshall (R-KS), Kristan Hawkins (President of Students for Life Action and Students for Life of America), Melissa Ohden (Founder & CEO, Abortion Survivors Network), and Melanie Israel (Heritage Foundation) will be the speakers at the panel, though others may be announced closer to the event.

“Those claiming that abortions late in pregnancy don’t take place should meet abortion survivors,” said Hawkins. “Though we don’t have a National Abortion Reporting Law, the government itself acknowledges the reality of late-term abortion, even as President Biden and his team push for more.”

In fact, according to the most recent CDC report, more than 40,000 abortions were committed in the second and third trimesters in 2020. But abortion data also comes from the abortion industry, which tells the public what they want them to know.

An article at The National Review, entitled “Yes, There Is Such a Thing as Elective Late-Term Abortion,” author Alexandra DeSanctis wrote: “Abortion-rights supporters often like to claim that abortions after 20 weeks’ gestation are rare. According to estimates from the pro-choice Guttmacher Institute, about 1.3 percent of annual abortions in the U.S. occur after 20 weeks, which does sound rare — until you consider that the Guttmacher also estimates about 926,000 annual abortions, meaning that about 12,000 take place after viability. As Ramesh Ponnuru often points out, that means there are more post-viability abortions each year than gun homicides, according to the most recent FBI estimates.”

Hawkins noted, “Even now, the Democrats and their allies in the abortion industrial complex are pushing to pass The Women’s Health Protection Actwhich would allow abortions up until birth, an end to a state’s right to support any limits, and an attack on the conscience rights of medical professionals who want to do no harm. Once you add in Democratic opposition to providing medical care for infants who survive a botched abortion, it’s clear that even infanticide is okay with the radical extremists running abortion policy.” READ MORE on a life-saving agenda here.

NATIONWIDE: EXPOSE LATE TERM ABORTION DAY OF ACTION Rallies and protests are also planned around the nation in over 20 different cities around the nation, including Raleigh, Philadelphia, Austin, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Denver, Boston, Chicago, and more.

Most recently, SFLAction was on Capitol Hill to applaud the introduction of The Ending Chemical Abortion Act, sponsored by Rep. Andy Ogles and supported by many others. SFLAction has also documented in many different blogs and reports the pro-abortion extremism of the Democrat Party and the Joe Biden administration and numerous government agencies, from the Department of Veterans Affairs to the Treasury Department – even the Space Force isn’t immune.

Students for Life Action (SFLAction), a 501c4, along with its 501c3 sister organization, Students for Life of America (SFLA), make up the nation’s largest, pro-life youth organization, managing a political and policy operation engaging Americans of all ages but with a special emphasis on the largest segment of voters — the Youth Vote. Together they provide political, legal, educational, and community support for women and children, born and preborn. Headquartered in Fredericksburg, VA, SFLA serves more than 1,400 groups on middle, high school, college, medical, and law school campuses in all 50 states. SFLA and SFLAction have more conversations with this generation targeted by the abortion lobby than any other pro-life operation in the world, each week reaching more than 4 million across social media platforms and averaging 1.3 million video views. SFLA has also launched multiple initiatives to lead and serve the future of the pro-life movement including the Campaign for Abortion Free Cities, Standing With You, and the Demetree Institute for Pro-Life Advancement . Over more than 17 years, President Kristan Hawkins has grown SFLAction/SFLA and the Pro-Life Generation into a nearly $20M organization, now preparing for an abortion-free America.
