Former Yale Law Students for Life leader Sarah Pitlyk was recently confirmed to become a federal judge, after being appointed by President Trump.
Epochtimes.com reports, “Nominated to the district court in August, Pitlyk was confirmed by a 49-44 vote. All who voted in support of Pitlyk were Republicans. Among the votes against Pitlyk were 42 Democrats, one Republican, and one Independent. Seven senators did not vote.
She will fill the role left by U.S. District Judge Catherine Perry, who assumed senior status—a form of semi-retirement in which judges can take a reduced caseload—on Dec. 31, 2018.”
Today the Senate confirmed Sarah Pitlyk to the federal bench – I was proud to recommend her to @realDonaldTrump and proud to vote for her nomination. She will be an outstanding, pro-Constitution judge!

We wrote in August, after she was nominated, “President Trump has nominated Sarah Pitlyk, the founder of Yale Law Students for Life and an attorney for the pro-life non-profit Thomas More Society to become a federal judge. Pitlyk has been nominated for a seat in the Eastern District of Missouri, according to courthousenews.com.
Pitlyk also clerked for then-Judge Brett Kavanaugh and has frequently defended high profile pro-life clients, including David Daleiden.”
Kristan Hawkins said at the time, “Sarah Pitlyk is an excellent nominee to be a federal judge and we are excited to see a former leader of ours nominated to be a federal judge. Her intellect, compassion, and integrity will serve the interests of all who come before her in court. ”
Pro-abortion groups came out against Pitlyk’s nomination, because of her record of defending human life.
The Senate is voting TODAY on anti-abortion activist Sarah Pitlyk's nomination to the federal bench. She is extreme and unfit to judge. Call your senators NOW and tell them to #StopPitlyk: https://t.co/Y0oTKC8KPz https://t.co/aYHl8APW2s
