Even though the Governor of Pennsylvania, Tom Wolf, is radically pro-abortion, the Pennsylvania House passed a human dignity law recently, which requires the proper burial or cremation of aborted babies. In fact, the legislation was even supported by 15 Democrats, despite their Party’s opposition to even basic laws like this, which support human dignity.
Of course, as expected, the mainstream media went into hysteria over this law, inaccurately saying it would require a woman who had an abortion to have a funeral for her aborted baby. In fact, it simply requires that the fetal remains be properly disposed of; a Christian church could offer to bury the aborted babies in its cemetery, for example. This is of course far more dignified than the abortion industry’s preferred method of burial, which is to store the remains in your garage in Illinois for decades.
According to the Associated Press, “A proposal to require the burial or cremation of fetal remains that end up in possession of a health care facility passed a divided Pennsylvania House of Representatives on Monday after an impassioned debate.
The bill, which Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf has vowed to veto, was modeled on Indiana legislation that was upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court earlier this year. It was sent to the state Senate on a vote of 123 to 76.
Supporters framed it as giving parents greater say in the disposal of remains, while opponents argued it would harass abortion facilities and impinge on women’s health choices.”

This is common-sense legislation that even pro-choicers should be able to support.
Representative Francis Ryan, the sponsor of the legislation, stated, “I think this is a significant bill that came to pass for those of us who have lost children and I‘ve lost three…My bill does nothing more than give parents the option at their own expense to take care of the remains on their own.”
