“The Pro-Life Generation stepped up to the plate in the Virginia elections, contacting more than 200,000 voters. We are energized to defeat extreme pro-choice legislation and candidates, to put a team in place to protect life in a post-Roe America,” noted Students for Life Action president Kristan Hawkins.
WASHINGTON D.C. & FREDERICKSBURG, VA (11-5-19) — Students for Life Action announced today updated numbers as part of its 2019 Virginia Election outreach program. Starting this summer, Students for Life Action began mobilizing students in key races to contact pro-life voters and remind them to vote in the election that takes place today. They also had several groups of students team up with Susan B. Anthony List in the Kentucky election.
Kristan Hawkins, president of Students for Life Action praised the students involved, saying, “The Pro-Life Generation has seen disastrous legislation introduced in places like California, New York, and Illinois. We do not want to see Virginia’s policy be taken over by Planned Parenthood and George Soros, and we were motivated to text, call, and knock on doors of pro-life voters.”
She added, “No matter what happens Tuesday night, Students for Life Action will continue to fight for preborn lives in Richmond and stop pro-choice legislation such as the Repeal Act and the Equal Rights Amendment.”
Students for Life Action knocked on over 15,000 doors, made over 65,000 phone calls, and sent nearly 1 million personal text messages to pro-life voters across the state of Virginia.
