Pro-abortion Bernie Sanders said he agrees with the judicial philosophy of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, which includes supporting unlimited abortion up until the moment of birth. In response to a tweet by an ACLU staffer pointing out that Buttigieg said he wants justices like Anthony Kennedy, Sanders tweeted, “Interesting, I’d like more justices like Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Sonia Sotomayor.”

But why have more justices like RBG, when you could have more justices like Justice Thomas?

Bernie Sanders’ support for more RBGs and Sonia Sotomayors, justices who continue to support upholding Roe v. Wade would lead to a result that most Millennials do want. When polled by the Institute for Pro-Life Advancement, our research arm, Millennials say that they want to be able to vote on the issue of abortion. However, pro-abortion justices and judges have worked hard to make sure that the right to vote on even basic protections, such as abortion facility safety standards, is removed.
According to the Institute for Pro-Life Advancement, “65 percent of Millennials support the right to vote on abortion-related policy and want a voice on abortion policy.”
Justice Ginsburg is so radical on abortion that she spoke out in favor of partial-birth abortion, a procedure that well-respected liberal Senator Daniel Moynihan said was “just too close to infanticide.”
The good thing is that Bernie Sanders has made clear that he supports justices that want unlimited access to abortion, something most of his supporters probably do not support.
One thing is clear: pro-abortion Senators are willing to go as far as smearing an honorable man to protect Roe.
