Students for Life Action, the c4 arm of Students for Life of America, has been busy with the Virginia elections looming closer. Students at the University of Mary Washington (UMW) are no exception as they have been very busy sending out texts. Helping with texting is one of the easiest ways to help SFLAction educate voters about which politicians stand where on the life issue.
The first day that Students for Life Action sent out texts, the UMW group sent out a whopping 6,611 texts!
Then, last week, they sent out even more, bringing the total to 10,193. Four students even stayed an extra hour longer than the original time to continue to respond to text messages that were coming back. Now that’s dedication!
This comes after Liberty University students made 5,000 calls to help mobilize pro-life voters in Virginia to oppose the pro-infanticide politicians Kathy Tran and Ralph Northam. You know, Virginia’s actual governor (& pediatrician – yikes) who went on the radio some months ago and explained his position that infanticide was fine. The election this November is important as it will revolve around the extreme infanticide bill brought by Tran before the House of delegates earlier this year.
In response to the looming election, Students for Life action is looking to do even more. Next week, on October 15th, Students for Life action plans to send out 20,000 more texts.
To hit this goal, we need YOU! Are you a member of the Pro-Life Generation and wanting to get involved to help ensure Virginia is pro-life? You can sign up to help send texts on the 15th at tiny.cc/TextingTuesdays or email Titus Folks at [email protected].
