Students for Life of America To Complete 250,000 conversations this School Year, Engaging Directly with the Generation targeted by the Abortion Industry
“The Students for Life team will meet with this generation across the country, taking a pro-life message to them directly, and when anyone tries to silence pro-life voices, we will defend the free speech rights of students who care so much about their friends and family that they will confront the realities of abortion, even when facing violence,” said SFLA’s Kristan Hawkins.
“Those 250,000 conversations will result in 1 million minutes of pro-life dialogue, changing the culture one person at a time.”
WASHINGTON D.C. (09-09-19) — As students across the country return to school, from middle and high school campuses to colleges and universities, Students for Life of America team leaders and our courageous students are launching our most ambitious plan yet in our more than 10-years of operation – Talk with 250,000 people, one on one, over the next school year to change hearts and minds for life. Our TALK Campaign will engage with people directly, bringing the facts about the dangers of abortion and the kinds of help available to women and children to the generation targeted for abortions by a predatory industry. And SFLA will also sponsor a LIFE AFTER ROE fall tour, educating this generation about the make-up of life affirming culture and the support that will be needed to assist mothers and their children – born and preborn.
“Students for Life has a plan in place and the infrastructure to sponsor transformative conversations. Those 250,000 conversations will result in 1 million minutes of pro-life dialogue, changing the culture one person at a time,” said Hawkins. “We know from past experience that we can change hearts and minds on abortion through engagement. And when our students face opposition to exercising their Constitutional free speech rights on campuses and in our culture, Students for Life will make sure that they have what they need to be defended.”
Violence on campuses are on the rise. Click here for a video of abuses over the last school year.
SFLA’s team is in the process of distributing tools to students who will host and sponsor pro-life conversations and special guests over the school year. Part of SFLA’s success on campuses is our training, designed to prepare students to effectively engage. This Tuesday, September 10th, SFLA will host the first training of year, designed in part to prepare students when threatened with or facing violence. Find the session on YouTube after the webcast.
