In great news this weekend, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, which traditionally has been seen as being a left-leaning Circuit Court, allowed Trump’s Protect Life Rule to move forward, after no judges asked for a vote on whether to have a hearing on Planned Parenthood’s request to halt the Protect Life Rule, which prevents Title X recipients from promoting abortion.
Politico reports, “The 9th U.S. Court of Appeals’ ruling Friday night will allow the policy to take effect while lawsuits from states, medical groups and reproductive rights advocates continue. Chief Judge Sidney Thomas, a Bill Clinton appointee, said in a brief statement that none of its judges requested a vote on whether to hold a hearing on a request from Planned Parenthood for an emergency injunction.”
Planned Parenthood commits violence every day against preborn babies, their moms, their dads, and society.
It's time we defund Planned Parenthood.

This means that starting tonight at midnight, abortion vendors will no longer be able to access around $60 million in Title X family planning funds. While we continue to support a complete defunding of Planned Parenthood, stripping Planned Parenthood of tens of millions of dollars is a great start.
Last summer, Students for Life of America spoke out in support in of the Protect Life Rule, saying, “Allowing locations that sell abortions to co-mingle their staff, costs, and purpose with programs designed to help women plan for families pollutes the purpose of Title X’s family planning mission. Abortionists should not be permitted to essentially double bill American taxpayers by setting up a storefront and charging for everything from so-called ‘education’ to any other product they can invoice. When you consider that there are more than 13,500 community health centers compared to little more than 660 Planned Parenthood clinics, it’s clear that women have many healthy choices for healthcare. It’s time to restore the family planning program to life-affirming locations designed to help women as they plan for their families.”
In response to the news last week that Planned Parenthood would pull out of the Title X program unless a judge granted an injunction, Kristan Hawkins stated, “Pregnancy is not a disease cured by abortion, and family planning services are widely available from all kinds of real healthcare providers as women will soon see for themselves. So much for Planned Parenthood putting women’s health over their financial interests in the abortion business.”
A poll by the Institute for Pro-Life Advancement, the research arm of Students for Life of America, found that Millennials preferred federally-qualified health centers receive taxpayer dollars by a 3 to 1 margin over Planned Parenthood.
