Massachusetts’ vibrant and active pro-life community is continuing to fight against abortion, even in a state that would be seemingly hostile to pro-life views. This Wednesday, a coalition of pro-life leaders and groups will be kicking off their petition drive to stop taxpayer-funded abortions in the state.
According to a Facebook event, “We are holding a Rally at the State House, to formally jump start the Ballot Petition Drive to Stop Public Funding of Abortion. Once again we will make an earnest effort to change our State Constitution so that our tax dollars will not go to fund abortion. This petition drive will get our measure on the ballot so the people of MA can decide with their vote. We need your help and we need you to help us find new volunteers who can commit to get plenty of signatures so that we are successful.”
Speakers include Student for Life New England Regional Coordinator Abigail Young, Massachusetts Citizens for Life, and the Massachusetts Family Institute.
The event starts at 10:15 AM outside the Massachusetts State House.
Massachusetts pro-lifers have been incredibly active in the past few months.
- The Fitchburg Planned Parenthood, which committed abortions, shut down. We wrote, “A letter released by the Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts announces that the Fitchburg Planned Parenthood will shut down, in a victory for pro-life activists in the state. A cached version of its website says it offers abortion services, meaning it commits abortions.”

- A Students for Life leader, Hannah Peskin, testified as well against the ROE Act, using her own experience of having Down syndrome. You can read her full testimony here.
Students for Life of America and Students for Life Action knows that in a post-Roe America, every single state will matter for abolishing abortion. We are the only student-led group in all 50 states that is prepared to abolish abortion, and we are not going to cede any state to the abortion lobby.
