A Planned Parenthood abortion facility director has to shut down his abortion facility in Arkansas temporarily (although maybe forever) while he tries to find a new facility. The reason? Pregnancy resource centers and pro-life activists were incredibly successful in turning people away from the abortion facility, providing women and families with high-quality information and assistance with their pregnancies.
The Northwest Arkansas Democrat Gazette reports, ”
Brandon Hill, chief executive officer of Planned Parenthood Great Plains, which oversees the business’ Little Rock and Fayetteville clinics, cited “increasing problems with our landlord” as reasons for deciding against renewing the current lease, which expires at the end of this month. He said the problems include “managing protester presence in the immediate vicinity of our facility and resultant concerns about patient and staff safety.”
For example, Hill said, an anti-abortion “crisis pregnancy center” organization began parking its van in a parking lot next to one used by the clinic. He said staff and patients “were alarmed and distressed by the van’s presence, and we were also concerned about medically inaccurate information being directed at patients. Additionally, we feared increased protester visibility could lead to security issues.”
Of course, we know that “medically inaccurate” and “security” are code words and excuses. In reality, the pro-life activists were providing real and accurate information, and when people hear about fetal development, they often choose life. That’s why abortion facilities always oppose ultrasound laws.
This isn’t the only victory in the past few weeks, though. Even a Massachusetts Planned Parenthood is closing for unspecified reasons.
A few weeks ago we wrote about the closing of the Fitchburg Planned Parenthood; “A letter released by the Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts announces that the Fitchburg Planned Parenthood will shut down, in a victory for pro-life activists in the state. A cached version of its website says it offers abortion services, meaning it commits abortions.”

Students for Life of America has been active in pushing for the closure of abortion facilities. Students for Life groups often do sidewalk counseling, prayer, and chalking outside of abortion facilities. We also have been working with local Missouri pro-life groups, as the last abortion facility in the state hangs on a thread, propped up by an activist judge. You can read more about that situation here.
