Recently, Gallup released a new poll on abortion, which shows good news for the pro-life movement. Writing at National Review, Dr. New notes:
According to the survey, a plurality of Americans now identify as pro-life, with 49 percent of respondents calling themselves “pro-life,” and 46 percent calling themselves “pro-choice.” This is the first Gallup poll since 2013 in which a higher percentage of respondents identified as “pro-life” rather than “pro-choice.”
This gain in public support for the pro-life position is more significant than many observers realize. There is some evidence that pro-life sentiment tends to wane during Republican presidential administrations, as well as when abortion opponents are poised to make substantial policy gains. Some pro-life observers have been concerned that efforts to enact abortion limitations in Alabama, Georgia, Missouri, and a handful of other states might result in a public-opinion backlash. This new Gallup poll illustrates that this likely has not been the case. In fact, it is entirely possible that aggressive efforts by Democrats to make abortion policy more permissive in states such as New York, Vermont, and Illinois actually might have resulted in gains in pro-life sentiment.

The results are consistent with what the Institute for Pro-Life Advancement (our research arm) found in a January poll. The results include:
7 of 10 Millennials support limits on abortion through specific policies like parental notification, limiting abortions later in pregnancy like at 5 months of pregnancy, and opposition to government funding of abortion.
Only 7 percent shared the position of the Democratic Party Platform – abortion without any exceptions and funded by tax dollars.
More Millennials than not support Roe’s reversal. Asked directly about support for overturning Roe and returning abortion to the states, 41 percent supported Roe’s reversal.
65 percent of Millennials support the right to vote on abortion-related policy and want a voice on abortion policy
56 percent of Millennials, oppose selling Chemical Abortion drugs on-line or dropping the requirement for a physical exam because of the risks to women.
By about a 3 to 1 margin (48 percent to 17 percent), Millennials said they preferred that their tax monies went to Federally Qualified Health Centers rather than the abortion giant, Planned Parenthood.
51 percent said that they opposed Roe, when they understood it allows for abortion through all 9 months of pregnancy
