For about 6 months now, we’ve been using a phrase to describe politicians who support infanticide and government-funded abortions; Planned Parenthood Democrats. These are Democrats who ask Planned Parenthood how to vote, instead of listening to their constituents, who overwhelmingly reject the agenda of unlimited abortion on demand and at taxpayer expense.
Now, we have further proof that some Democratic politicians, in this case, 2020 Presidential candidates, are asking for Planned Parenthood’s blessing on their Presidential run. You see, Planned Parenthood is hosting a candidate forum the same day as a South Carolina Democratic Party convention. Many of the candidates will be speaking at both.
And we’re going to make sure people know the truth about Planned Parenthood and abortion extremism.
On Saturday, June 22nd, the Pro-Life Generation and local pro-life groups will be speaking out against this extremism and exposing the truth of Planned Parenthood. You can RSVP for the event here.
WHERE: 900 Senate Street, Columbia, South Carolina.
WHEN: 9 AM to 11 AM
WHAT: The event will start with speakers, including local pro-life leaders, pregnancy resource center leaders, and Students for Life Action state captains. Then, we will host the Planned Parenthood Truth Tour, which is Student for Life of America’s programming on how Planned Parenthood regularly puts women in dangerous situations and fails inspection reports. You can learn more at PlannedParenthoodTruth.org.
According to Planned Parenthood Action, “We Decide will give 2020 presidential candidates the chance to speak to PPAF members – a critical group for anyone aiming for the White House – about their plan to protect and expand abortion access and other reproductive health care. The event will be held concurrent with the South Carolina Democratic Convention, in Columbia, SC.”
While Planned Parenthood often pushes the talking point that voters want abortion to be a central part of any campaign, voters actually do not support abortion and Planned Parenthood at the levels they purport.
For example, their website lists a poll purporting to show 75% support for Planned Parenthood..but that poll is about providing funding to Planned Parenthood for non-abortion services, even though the money they receive is fungible, and we know that they overcharge for things like birth control, which helps subsidize their abortion business. A similar poll claims to show 57% support from Trump supporters for Planned Parenthood, but that again misleads, because what it actually showed was opposition to “actions that would prohibit women from accessing birth control, well-woman care, and cancer screenings at Planned Parenthood”, yet doesn’t mention abortion.
