Earlier this week, SFLA Regional Coordinator Stephanie Lugo headed to the Nebraska State Capitol to protest a Planned Parenthood rally. And it was everything you’d expect and more.
Pro-abortion activists told the crowd that women can’t be successful without abortion and that men were not allowed to have opinions (unless they are pro-abortion). Add the pushiness and harassment of children, and that pretty much paints the picture.
“The adventure for the day… protesting Planned Parenthood at the Nebraska State Capitol. I listened to the men I was standing with be told that their voices didn’t matter, and as a woman, I was told that I should go to school and educate myself so that I’m not oppressed. I graduated from college this weekend, but I guess if I don’t share all the same views of mainstream feminism, my voice isn’t worth hearing. Even if I have that college degree.
However, I was most angered by a Planned Parenthood supporter who started berating a young girl standing next to me with a pro-life sign, telling her that she was ‘being brainwashed,’ giving her Planned Parenthood’s version of “sexual empowerment.”
You could say it was a little bit chaotic. I’m thankful for all the pro-life men, women and children who are unafraid to stand up to the loud voice of Planned Parenthood and fight for life!”
So, talking to a stranger’s young daughter about sex isn’t creepy at all. Planned Parenthood’s twisted message of sexual riskiness is plenty represented in Hollywood; we don’t need to recite it to miscellaneous children we meet in public as well.
Thanks to the Students for Life staff and leaders who were at the rally, the abortion lobby’s radical message did not go unopposed! The Pro-Life Generation will always be there to have fruitful dialogues (whenever they’ll play along) and share our message of compassion. We will abolish abortion!
