SACRAMENTO, CA (04-22-19): Students for Life of America announced today that SFLA President Kristan Hawkins will testify on Wednesday before the state Senate Education Committee as well as participate in media events in opposition to SB 24, a dangerous measure that would force college and university health centers to distribute the life-ending, chemical abortion drug known as RU-486. “This reckless measure ignores the known problems of the deadly and painful drug, designed to force an early abortion. We know that women have died using the drugs, and we are asking California legislators to protect women from the deadly drugs as well as protect universities from uncharted liability for the injuries and deaths that will come,” said Hawkins.
“By design, SB 24 will create chaos, increased liability for schools, and loss of student life as well as establishing an unconstitutional program that will violate the Conscience Rights of both students and healthcare center personnel,” Hawkins will testify.
Hawkins has written extensively about the dangers associated with SB 24, previously defeated as SB 320. Click here to read more on the risks of the drugs.
