Reacting to yet another attack on pro-life students, this time at University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, Kristan Hawkins president of Students for Life of America said, “This overheated rhetoric and violence must end. The targeting of pro-life groups for vandalism is an expected result of a political class to ramps up rhetoric to such extremes that it flows down to students who think it’s an appropriate way to handle disputes.”
This particular attack occurred on the night of Thursday, November 1st. Some of the chalkings were defaced that night and then on Friday, November 2nd, more of the chalkings were washed off by having water poured over it.
These messages were evidently too much for pro-abortion students to tolerate.
Noah Maldonado, Northern Regional Coordinator for Students for Life of America added, “UWEC Students for Life won’t let this intimidate them. It is a sad reflection on the state of politics today that we cannot even peacefully chalk pro-life messages without being attacked, but we will not let this stop us.”
