Students for Life Says HHS On Right Track In Ending Fetal Tissue Contract
“The American people have been forced into business with abortion vendors who consume more than half-a-billion in taxpayer subsidies every year and still want more,” said SFLA’s Kristan Hawkins. “We must explore all tools for defunding their grisly trade.”
Washington D.C. (09-25-18)– Students for Life of America President Kristan Hawkins called the HHS decision to terminate a contractwith Advanced Bioscience Resources, Inc. because of ethical concerns over the use of aborted infant tissue “a good first step in making sure that our tax dollars are not making abortion even more profitable.”
“Clearly more needs to be done to end the coercive policies in place that keep the American taxpayer on the hook for abortion-related subsidies of all kinds. It’s horrific for the U.S. government to create a market for aborted infants, so we applaud the current efforts to cut ties with those who traffic in infant remains and urge all branches of government to defund and distance themselves from abortion vendors wherever possible.”
