The theft from Students for Life shows the disregard for decency that some pro-choice activists have, noted Kristan Hawkins.
Fargo, North Dakota (8-07-18)–
Yesterday, at approximately, 1200 PM CST, a presumably pro-choice activist stole a megaphone from Students for Life of America while they were rallying outside of Senator Heidi Heitkamp’s office in Fargo, North Dakota.
Students for Life of America’s president, Kristan Hawkins, condemns the theft of Students for Life of America materials from the students and staff on the #Justice4Life Tour in North Dakota.
In a statement, Hawkins said, “The theft from Students for Life shows the disregard for decency in our political society today. Our students and staff were peacefully exercising their First Amendment right, when someone stole from them a megaphone owned by Students for Life. We condemn this criminal act and we look forward to the Fargo Police Department investigating the theft and bringing the perpetrator to justice.”
Noah Maldonado, the regional coordinator for North Dakota for Students for Life added, “Our student activists and staff will not let this criminal act deter us from our work. We only wish that other people had the same respect for our free-speech rights that we give them.”
Students for Life of America is traveling across the country in 5 vans and holding a series of rallies this week to call for the confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.
