FREDERICKSBURG, VA (4-17-18)–
The following statement on a recently released poll on abortion can be attributed to Kristan Hawkins, president of Students for Life of America.
“It’s not suprising to find that people at the beginning of their adult lives are more likely to try on and consider different points of view. And it’s not surising that older adults are more settled in their thinking, but in working with more than 1,200 college and high school chapters nationwide, I know the passion and dedication for life among the Pro-Life Generation. Numerous polls point to real support for life among this generation, drawing a far different conclusion. What I’ve also seen, however, is that the Pro-Life Generation is more motivated to be pro-life as a human rights concern than as a faith concern, which should motivate the faith community to reach this generation with those timeless values. With a pro-life president and his administration really working to protect life, the media has an interest in trying to undermine the reality of the support for limits on abortion and for redirecting federal funding to actual full-service healthcare, rather than to abortion vendors. This poll is an outlier, and the pro-life generation is going strong.”
