SFLA Launches New Middle School Initiative

After seeing a lack of pro-life resources available to counter the infiltration of the abortion industry, led by Planned Parenthood, in middle schools, Students for Life of America is proud to introduce our brand new Middle School Initiative. The initiative was developed by partnering with education professionals who helped to determine the best way to talk with middle schoolers (those in 6th, 7th and 8th grade) about abortion.MS-Postcard-Front

“Years ago this program wasn’t necessary but, sadly, today it is. Planned Parenthood and their allies are relentless in their pursuit to talk to students in all grade levels because they are recruiting long-term clients,” said Kristan Hawkins, president of Students for Life of America. “But we are pushing back. We are going to be talking with those students too and hopefully stop them from becoming clients of the largest abortion vendor in the country.”

We’ve developed a workbook and guide for middle schoolers to use in their new student pro-life groups at the schools, which are similar to the SFLA program for high school and college levels. There have already been five middle school Students for Life groups launched who signed up before the program even launched. Want to start a middle school group? Email us at [email protected].

“SFLA wants to reach these students first, building a relationship with them and putting them in touch with mentors in their community where they can turn to for real help,” said Hawkins. “Through the Middle School Initiative, we can put a stop to Planned Parenthood’s dangerous grasp on our nation’s children, and we can end abortion before it happens by equipping young students with a solid education on pro-life issues and the tools they need to be resources to their peers.”

Since announcing the initiative to our supporters, the response has been overwhelming and positive.

“Our supporters want to know how to get the curriculum in their own schools and in front of their own children and grandchildren,” said Hawkins. “We are thrilled at the response and look forward to creating a national network of middle school pro-life groups and educators.”
