Hundreds of Students for Life groups on college and high school campuses will participate in the #WomenBetrayed National Day of Student Action this Thursday, September 24th. Partnering with National Pro-Life Chalk Day, students will chalk educational messages about Planned Parenthood and the #PPSellsBabyParts scandal, pass out postcards and flyer their campuses.
“We need to reach Planned Parenthood clientele where they are – on college campuses – and our Students for Life groups are right there and are able to reach these women and educate their peers on the shady business model of Planned Parenthood that pushes abortion above all else,” said Kristan Hawkins, president of Students for Life of America.
Undercover videos from the Center for Medical Progress that showed top-level Planned Parenthood executives haggling over the price of the body parts of aborted babies exploded over the summer in the media. Even though people who have not seen the videos remain high, those who have seen them have turned against Planned Parenthood for their barbaric practices.
“I am excited about bringing National Pro-Life Chalk Day to our campus as a way to talk about women betrayed by Planned Parenthood!,” said Brianna Cocuzzo, a junior at Fairfield University in Connecticut. “I hope seeing these simple facts and quotes can open students’ eyes to issues with Planned Parenthood in an accessible and easy-to-process way.”
The #WomenBetrayed National Day of Student Action follows several other #WomenBetrayed events, both nationally and locally, that have called on state and federal governments to investigate, prosecute and defund Planned Parenthood of all taxpayer dollars.
“Our Students for Life groups are the only line of defense on college and high school campuses from Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider,” said Hawkins. “By coalescing together during one day to educate their peers, our students are taking a definitive step in educating their peers on not only the destructive business practices of Planned Parenthood but letting students know that they exist and that they are on campus to help women facing unplanned pregnancies.”
