Students for Life of America is excited to announce our new thought-provoking Human Rights Tour. The brand new national tour will travel 10,217 miles to 27 universities in 14 states during the spring semester.
The Human Rights Tour was developed to educate and challenge college students on when human rights begins in the scientific development of a human from fertilization to birth.
“We believe many college students really haven’t thought in-depth about this question or have had the chance to formulate their own beliefs on the topic,” said Kristan Hawkins, president of SFLA. “By viewing this display as an exploration and education process, students will be led to think more deeply and come to an understanding of what they actually believe about the value of human beings.”
The display itself is made of six panels, one teardrop banner and a table with fetal development models. Students will be asked to vote on when human rights begin and place a sticker next to their vote on one of the panels, which show human development from fertilization until birth.

“While the display itself never uses the word abortion, it is designed to get to the central question of the abortion debate: what is the preborn? What value does the preborn baby have?” said Hawkins. “By guiding students through this biological and philosophical discussion, the final question they need to answer is ‘if living humans have human rights, then why don’t the preborn?’”
