Four Corners Students for Life, Farmington, NM
This past October, Audrey McDonald, a Junior at Farmington High School, took on the challenge of starting Four Corners Students for Life in Farmington, NM. In this short time, Audrey has already shown great leadership qualities and is setting a strong foundation for a culture of life in Northwestern New Mexico. Within their first month, Four Corners Students for Life organized meetings and began engaging their school. They plan to continue to recruit new members from their school to pray for the pre-born and become adequately trained as pro-life activists. But, they don’t want to stop there! Four Corners Students for Life is already making plans to expand their reach by forming a coalition of the leaders from different schools.
This November, the Four Corners Students for Life packed into a 12 passenger van and headed down to to Albuquerque, NM to help pro-life students in the Rocky Mountain Region motivate residents to vote for the 20 week abortion ban/Pain Capability Protection Act ballot initiative. These high school students helped phone bank, door knock, pass out thousands of flyers, and attend rallies. Their enthusiasm was contagious as they engaged the city of Albuquerque to vote for a ban against late-term abortion. It is refreshing to see such a new group become so motivated in their early stages of formation. Four Corners Students for Life in Farmington, NM has an exciting future ahead of them and they are sure to spread the culture of life in their community and beyond! Plans for future include more activism, more training from SFLA, attending local march for life, sidewalk counseling.
Way to go Four Corners Students for Life! Keep up the good work!
