Students for Life of America is excited to announce our newest Regional Coordinators! These new coordinators will be equipping and training students in the Rocky Mountain, Great Lakes regions and also in New York, New Jersey, Tennessee and Kentucky!
Lauren ‘Lo’ Martinez is our Rocky Mountain Regional Coordinator (CO, WY, UT, NM). Lo graduated in 2013 from Regis University with a B.S. in Accounting and a B.A. in Religious Studies. She was the President for the Students for Life group on campus for two years and hosted the first Regional Students for Life Conference in Denver in October 2012. She lead fundraising efforts to represent the Colorado community at the March for Life in Washington D.C. and share the knowledge gained with the Regis campus and the surrounding community. Lauren has been involved with the pro-life movement since High School and has a passion to help develop future leaders in this generation to ensure that abortion is abolished in her lifetime. Alicia Frick will be working as the Great Lakes Area Regional Coordinator (IN, OH, MI). Alicia is a 2013 graduate of Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne where she earned a B.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in Communications and a certificate in Gerontology. She got involved with the pro-life movement in high school at her church but became very active in the movement at IPFW. While at IPFW Alicia served as the Vice President for one year and President for two years for IPFW Students for Life. Alicia led two bus trips for the National March for Life and the SFLA National Conference. She helped stop a Plan B vending machine from being installed at IPFW and helped grow the Students for Life organization. She is very excited to be an advocate for student leaders across the Great Lake region and help them be a voice for the preborn in their community and across the United States. Rebecca Purdy is our new New York/New Jersey Regional Coordinator. Rebecca has collaborated with Students for Life for the past 3 years. A former Missionary for Life and Wilberforce Fellow, she founded and was president of her school’s pro-life group. A graduate of The College of New Jersey, she has Bachelors of Science in Spanish, special education, and elementary education and a Master of Arts in Teaching special education. Rebecca credits her pro-life activism to the enthusiasm and dedication of Students for Life of America and is thrilled to be working to further the mission of empowering pro-life students. Nathan Croft joined us as the Kentucky and Tennessee Regional Coordinator. Nathan graduated summa cum laude from Lee University with a bachelor’s degree in political science and history. While a freshman, Nathan’s passion for the pro-life movement led him to found the Lee University Students for Life. During his tenure as Chairman of the Lee University Students for Life, the club was actively involved with the local pregnancy care center, being named a top ten church/school team fundraiser during their annual Walk for Life. Prior to his work with the Students for Life of America, Nathan served as chairman of the Lee University College Republicans and worked in various local, state and national political campaigns.
