We have come to the final 31 days of our calendar year, and there are so many things to be grateful for! As we near the end of 2012, we should be celebrating the lives that we have saved throughout the year as well as the families that we have supported and protected. However, we also remember that over 1.21 million lives were lost this year in our country. 1.21 million children will not be celebrating this holiday season with us. We are saddened that so many continue to be denied the gift of life, and yet we must continue to rejoice in the beauty of life that we continue to defend. We can be joyful in the truth that we have and continue to spread as we persevere towards our goal of ending abortion in our lifetime.
Thank you all for your enthusiasm and determination throughout this year! We hope that you will keep pushing forward and that you may take some of these following ideas to end 2012 courageously defending and celebrating LIFE.
What can you do in the next 31 DAYS?
After a long year of hard work, it is time to celebrate all that your group has accomplished! Hosting a social promotes community, energizes friendships, and boosts morale! Take the time to celebrate the fruits of your labors and to enjoy the company of your group and your community.
2. Organize a Christmas community baby shower .
The holiday season brings about great enthusiasm for giving to others. Take advantage of this time to ask your community to share with local mothers and families.
3. Go Christmas caroling!
“The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear!” (Buddy the Elf)
Warm up your vocal chords, and get ready to sing! Get a group to go Christmas caroling at a PRC, a maternity home, or the maternity ward of a local hospital. It’s easy, and it is fun for both you and your audience. Invite your audience to sing with you, and always (always) smile!
Christmas cards are a great way to reach out to local moms, pregnant students, or new moms at your local hospital. This activity is so simple to organize, and it can bring so much joy for moms who need your love and support.
5. Set up a Christmas “Giving Tree” for donations to a PRC or for gifts for families in need.
The Christmas spirit is all about giving to others and reaching out to those in need. Why not set up a Giving Tree to collect donations for a local family or a PRC? This project can also be incorporated as a creative way to attract people to your community baby shower!
6. Create a Pro-Life Nativity scene.
Are you on a Christian campus? Celebrate the birth of Christ and the pro-life message! This display incorporates both religion and the pro-life message, and it is sure to gain attention.
The pro-life battle can be fought and won on several different battlefields! In addition actively speaking out and hosting events, you should also be promoting your messages through visual images. Click on the photo below and find out more about how you can use these graphics throughout December!
We are so grateful for those many survivors of abortion who have lived to share their story with the world! This December, invite an abortion survivor to your campus!
