“Karen Handel’s resignation from the largest breast cancer charity in the world, the Susan G. Komen Foundation, only furthers Planned Parenthood’s status as a bully who shakes down whomever they need to in order that to get their way. They held the Komen Foundation, and the millions of women they serve, hostage until they got their way, pocketing merely a drop in the bucket when it comes to their funding. Planned Parenthood showed their immense power to effectively run an organization by using mafia-style tactics. The abortion giant is under investigations at both the federal and state levels for Medicaid fraud, overbilling, failing to follow mandatory reporting laws and the aiding and abetting of sex trafficking of minors. Komen had good reason to defund them and should never have had to apologize.”
In a recent New York Times op-ed, Leana Wen bemoaned that she couldn’t have conversations with people about abortion, especially those who aren’t pro-choice. Yepp, we feel you. Which is why we’re reiterating our offer to see the movie “Unplanned” with Kristan Hawkins in exchange for a donation to Wen’s alma mater, Washington University School of Medicine, in St. Louis. Rewind: In March 2019, the movie, “Unplanned”, about former Planned Parenthood director turned pro-life leader Abby Johnson was being released in theatres. Kristan Hawkins, the president of Students for Life of America, offered to see the movie with then-Planned Parenthood president Leana Wen.
