The reporters and onlookers who witnessed our April 26th press conference in front of 196,543 baby socks could hardly come up with words describe what they were seeing.
Tour groups stopped dead in their tracks. Members of Congress stopped by on their way to vote to ask what was happening.
When we told them each sock represented a preborn child’s life that Planned Parenthood snuffed out, their jaws dropped.

Our team is planning to do just that with our #SockIt2PP National Tour. We are going to show young people the real impact of Planned Parenthood’s brutal business practices.
There are few visual presentations as effective at getting young people to rethink their stance – whether they’re self-described as “pro-choice,” or just haven’t fully developed their beliefs on the life issue – as seeing our #SockIt2PP display.
That’s because when they see a mountain of baby socks, it’s easy to envision the little baby feet that should be wearing them if not for Planned Parenthood abortionists.
After months of delay, Planned Parenthood finally released their annual report, which showed an increase in abortion from 323,999 in 2014-15 up to 328,348 in 2015-16. Our goal was to collect the number of socks that corresponds to the number of abortion Planned Parenthood does every year OR defund Planned Parenthood – whichever comes first.
Right now, with our current sock count in hand, we need to collect 127,805 baby socks by the start of the school year so we can take them on our fall tour.

Back in April, shortly after we delivered those socks, the House passed the new healthcare bill, which would defund Planned Parenthood of over $400 million of our taxpayer dollars next year.
We have no doubt that seeing all those socks – being carried by young members of the Pro-Life Generation – helped light a fire in Washington, D.C.
But we have more work to do to make sure Congress keeps their promise to defund Planned Parenthood this year.
