“Call Her Daddy” Host and Kamala Harris Should’ve Called Us to Correct Their Abortion Nonsense – We Did it Anyway

To demonstrate her “seriousness” as a presidential candidate, Vice President Kamala Harris sat down with Alex Cooper, host of “Call Her Daddy,” whose show’s entire premise is discussing sex acts and positions, hookups, and regretful relationship decisions.  

Somehow, Harris thought Cooper’s profoundly unserious podcast would be the perfect forum for a “serious” discussion on abortion.  

After all, Cooper’s audience is the perfect platform, made primarily of young women, who are reportedly more than one-third of the electorate and headed toward majority status. The youth is a critical demographic that Harris needs to woo, and she’s hoping to do it with abortion. Cooper claims she did a lot of research on her talk with Harris. However, she probably should’ve called Students for Life of America (SFLA) to get the facts because the conversation from start to finish was riddled with logical inconsistencies and flat-out falsehoods. But, if Cooper and Harris kept up with SFLA, they’d know that a recent poll from YouGov shows six in 10 youth voters want abortion limits (65%) and three in four (75%) want limits after viability, which is a 10% increase from last year. 

Even though we didn’t get a ring from either Cooper or Harris, we thought we’d set the record straight anyway on their abortion misconceptions and observations.  

“Women Have Agency”: They Can Choose LIFE 

Cooper asked Harris what her mother taught her; she replied, “That women have agency. Things don’t just happen to you. She (mom) was teaching me: think about when you had agency at that moment.” 

Firstly, this flies contrary to Harris’ pro-abortion narrative that women need abortion, have no other options, or will die without one. In Harris’ scenario, her mother wanted her to make a good choice using her agency. Many women have the same opportunity when choosing life. According to the Charlotte Lozier Institute (CLI) found that 96% of abortions were elective or for unspecified reasons, while only 0.3% occurred due to the health of the mother. 

Bottomline: women are not chained to abortion. With more support from family, friends, and partners, women and their babies can thrive, whether it’s through raising that child or placing them for adoption.  

And a question for Harris: do women in the womb have agency? According to her words and this year’s appearance at an abortion vendor, she doesn’t.

“Don’t Let Anyone Take Your Power from You”: Is Harris Talking About the Preborn?  

If a viewer closed their eyes and forgot Harris was talking about abortion, it could’ve been a pep talk for the preborn. The irony of Cooper cheering Harris’ women’s empowerment is that it’s at the cost of killing the powerless. We wish they’d apply the same empowerment argument to the preborn, as over 60 million children have been ripped from their mother’s wombs since Roe v. Wade.  

“Women Lost Their Constitutional Right to Abortion”: There NEVER was a Constitutional Right 

Cooper erroneously claims, as many have, that abortion is a constitutional right. There has never been a constitutional right to abortion. Roe v. Wade was badly decided by nine U.S. Supreme Court Justices who overreached their judicial power over states and citizens. If anything, the 14th Amendment protects the preborn, reading:  

“No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.” (emphasis added) 

 Since science has clearly shown that a baby in the womb is a human being, a separate body from their mother, and NOT a clump of cells, this amendment belongs to them, too.  

“Why Would We Control What Someone Else Will Do?”  

Cooper asked the age-old pro-abortion “gotcha” question, which has a simple answer: because it’s not your body. The baby is a separate entity from the mother. It’s not a tumor or clump of cells in a woman’s body. It has its own DNA and genetic makeup. It kicks and moves. The pro-life movement doesn’t want to police women’s bodies; we want to save the human beings in their wombs from starvation through Chemical Abortion Pills or dismemberment through surgical abortion. 

“Amber Thurman Died Because of Abortion Bans”: No, She Died from Chemical Abortion Pills Which Cause Infertility, Injury, and DEATH 

Cooper’s assertion was one of the most dishonest moments of the discussion. Peddling the media’s trope about Amanda Thurman and her twins’ tragic deaths, she blamed abortion laws instead of the apparent culprit, Chemical Abortion Pills. Here are the previously reported facts:  

  • A woman pregnant WITH TWINS took Chemical Abortion Pills.   
  • The article indicates she wanted a surgical abortion, so she and a friend drove to North Carolina but were late and missed her appointment.    
  • So, the abortion vendor distributed Chemical Abortion Pills.    
  • Once at home, she became very ill and eventually went to a Georgia Emergency Room (ER), where treatment was discussed.   
  • Georgia law limits abortion to early in a pregnancy,but the law does allow for saving a mother’s life.   
  • The young mother was reportedly experiencing infection – sepsis. The story says that after 20 hours, surgery took place, but the infection killed her.   

Here’s what we do know: Chemical Abortion Pills are recklessly and dangerously distributed without an honest conversation of the risks, and the abortion lobby doesn’t seem to care WHO dies as long as a baby doesn’t make it.

Laws didn’t kill Thurman. The pills did.  

“That (Late-Term Abortion) Is Not Happening in the United States – It’s a Lie” 

Her emphatic denial is a lie in itself. She voted against a measure that would require infants to be humanely treated by abortionists. Her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, allowed eight babies to die after botched abortions. According to data from his own Minnesota Department of Health and reporting from the National Review, “Since Governor Walz was inaugurated in 2019, eight babies survived abortion attempts in Minnesota. On five occasions, no measures were taken to preserve life.” 

Even abortion-leaning outlet The Atlantic couldn’t help but tell the truth with a bold article entitled “Yes, Third-Trimester Abortions Are Happening in America.” They write:  

“Representatives from the CDC, the pro-abortion-rights Guttmacher Institute, and the anti-abortion Charlotte Lozier Institute told me that national data simply aren’t available. But Colorado, which is home to clinics that perform third-trimester abortions, recorded 137 third-trimester abortions in 2023. That’s only one state—eight other states, plus Washington, D.C., have no restrictions on third-trimester abortions. 

Those who support such expansive abortion laws tend to argue that third-trimester abortions are the result of a devastating medical diagnosis. In many cases, that’s true, but it is not always the case. The D.C. clinic I mentioned above confirmed by phone that it performs abortions for any reason.” (emphasis added)  

Did Kamala Harris Get Anything Right?  

Amidst the lies and confusion, Harris unintentionally said one profound thing.  

“The more that we let anything exist in the shadows, the more likely it is that people are suffering and suffering silently,” Harris told Cooper. “And we need to talk about it.” 

Though Harris spoke in the context of sexual assault, she is correct – if anything, including abortion, exists in the shadows, we need to tell the truth. Abortion has mental and physical consequences for women, and it takes innocent preborn lives every day. Though Cooper and Harris skirted the truth, it allowed SFLA to shed light on abortion.  

If they want to make this country a safer place for women, hold the Federal Drug Administration (FDA) for reckless Chemical Abortion Pills and abortionists accountable for barbaric practices.  

But hey, if Cooper or her “Daddy Gang” wants to know the truth about abortion, just call the pro-life movement. We’ll answer.
