I was stuck on the #PATurnpike and attended Mass
By Maddie Schulte, Wisconsin Regional Coordinator
I often get asked the length I will go to in order to defend the preborn. Does being stranded for 24 hours in a bus qualify me for an answer of anything? Six years ago I devoted my life to being a part of the generation that will abolish abortion.
On Friday morning, I proudly marched in the March for Life in Washington D.C. Trying to beat the storm; I jumped on a bus with the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis, a short three hours later we found our bus at a dead stop.
Twenty-four hours later, 20 miles worth of cars, semis, and buses are buried in two to three feet of snow.
But like I said, nothing will stop this pro-life generation. I am honored to be trapped with the high school students from St. Paul/Minneapolis and God has granted us with plenty of time for me to properly train and equip their groups. Even in the midst of hunger, exhaustion, and fear, these students are on fire for the pro-life cause and willing to do whatever it takes to save lives.
We would really appreciate any prayers you can offer during this time.
Today hundreds of youth built a snow alter (see photo and story here) and came together to celebrate the beautiful mass. This was a once in a lifetime experience. I was touched by the positive attitudes, love, and worship that each and every student expressed. I put my trust in God and I know he has a plan for us. The Lord and I know what this generation is capable of doing, and I can’t wait to witness the storm that we will make!
