Come With Us to Austin

AustinBusRight now, we are compiling a list of students who can come to Austin and join our “Texas Stand For Life Team” while the bill is in the House, and possibly stay longer for the Senate battle.  We need you to be there in the House and Senate gallery to support the pro-life bill and speak to members in the State Legislature about why you care so much about protecting the lives and health of the preborn and their mothers.

We can help find you host families and housing, provide some meals and t-shirts, and we may be able to help with transportation costs, so please contact Brendan O’Morchoe immediately! When you e-mail Brendan make sure you let him know how long you can join us in Austin for.

And for those of you in the mid-Atlantic region, SFLA is renting a bus to drive down to Austin from Washington, DC.

Seating is limited and will be on a first come, first served basis, so please let us know right now if you can meet us in Washington, DC this Sunday, July 7th, to join the Students for Life team on the 24 hour road trip to Austin!

And if you can’t meet us in DC on the 7th, we will be passing through the following cities where we can pick you up as well: Roanoke (VA), Knoxville, Nashville, Memphis, and Little Rock.

Because we don’t know yet how long the special session will last, we need you to commit to being in Austin for full week: Sunday, July 7th through Sunday, July 14th.

If you are on the East Coast, this is your best option to get down to Austin for this historic event as plane tickets are through the roof right now. But to reserve a seat, we need you to pitch in a $25 down payment.

Tickets can be purchased HERE.

We must show up. We must be there. Will you join us and stand for life?

If you aren’t able to attend, but would like to sponsor a student, please click here.

How You Can Help #Stand4Life in Austin

It’s starting today – the 2nd Special Session of the Texas Legislature. And next week, our team and students will be in Austin when the pro-life omnibus bill goes before the full Texas House for a vote, and then the Senate.

Make no mistake about it – Planned Parenthood is spearheading the opposition, and they are already mobilizing online to be there every day in the Texas legislature bullying pro-life Representatives and Senators. And all weekend, Texas Senator Wendy Davis was on the big news channels being praised and called a hero for stopping the pro-life bill. It’s sickening. Don’t forget to be tweeting #Stand4Life to expose the pro-abortion side, especially on Tuesday for our big Tweetfest!

Just look at what they did today to pro-lifers who were singing Amazing Grace:

This must stop! We must be there in Austin telling the world what Senator Wendy Davis and Planned Parenthood really stand for – protecting Texas’ Kermit Gosnells and killing babies in the womb who have been scientifically proven to feel pain. Their stance is indefensible.

We have been bombarded with requests from students to join our team in Texas. The response has been so overwhelming that SFLA has decided to rent a full-size bus to drive down to Austin from Washington, DC.

Seating is limited and will be on a first come, first served basis, so please let us know right now if you can meet us in Washington, DC this Sunday, July 7th, to join the Students for Life team on the 24 hour road trip to Austin!

Because we don’t know yet how long the special session will last, we need you to commit to being in Austin for a full week: Sunday, July 7th through Sunday, July 14th.  And once you get to Austin, SFLA will find you a host family to stay with for the week as we engage in pro-life activism and show the Texas Legislators that this is a pro-life generation!

If you don’t want to join us on the bus but just want to meet us in Austin next week, email Brendan on the SFLA team directly at brendan@studentsforlife.org to get connected with our events.

Now, we just need to hit our $20,000 goal to cover the transportation costs of getting young people to Austin. If you can’t make it to Austin with us, will you prayerfully consider chipping in $35, $50, or even $100 today?

The more you can pitch in today, the more students we can send to Texas to counter Planned Parenthood and show the nation that this is the pro-life generation!
